Why just Honda City, cars like Manza, Logan and Etios can also comfortably seat 3 passengers in the rear seat(or bench) though they are by preception one level below fiesta.

However as Mustang has mentioned quite a few times, the USPs of fiesta are handling and driving dynamics along with quality, safety and refinement. It may not seat 3 people in rear seat but it will be a drivers car.

the pics on the second page, the gear has M +/- mode.
Is it like the S version has M mode dual clutch and other versions have dual clutch without it?

Hmm even I am amazed by the figures, but I recall Mustang mentioning that it will be in the Vento range which starts at INR 7.08L that being said a 6.8-7.2 seems plausible.

Latest 'What Car ' issue has an article with lotsa pictures of the new Fiesta.

Though the car colour looks ain't that appealing. Interiors looks more Honda ish.

SX4 diesel to the back burner for me.

About the rear seat width cars like Vento have lesser or almost similar seat width to even the current fiesta according to the numbers. So don't think 2 or 3 centimeters of width will matter. What honda city has is good interior design with good space. If fiesta has this good interior utilization, then the rear bench will be good to compete with the City.

I have a feeling it will be because the sedan has already been released in markets like china and i have a feeling that they would have taken care of the rear seat space for those markets.

@Mustang101---From the pictures I'd posted on this thread, the US Fiesta has buttons on both sides of the steering wheel, whereas the Indian one has only on one side.

Can you tell us what features have been removed in the Indian version?

.
No, the rear bench of the Fiesta won't be as spacious as the City but will be more spacious than the fusion, the current fiesta and the figo and also the vento and the linea.

re: New Ford Fiesta Unveiled : Report & Pics - Page 46

Some days back I saw the 2011 Fiesta on test in Mount Road, Chennai. It's about the same size as the current Fiesta. From the looks of it, IMHO it hasn't grown the way the OHC-NHC-ANHC has grown in size.

The Linea is not a good reference point for space! The Linea's rear seat is the worst place for a 6 footer to be in

^^ Wider on the outside doesnt mean spacious on the inside all the time, right?

How would it compare to the current generation Fiesta? I own one and its cramped IMO!

Yes I did read your post on that. Let me put it this way, The Honda City has grown to be a proper 5 seater now and by the looks of it the Fiesta didn't seem so. Not that it's a dealbreaker. Just an observation on the space utilization by the Europeans and the Japs.

re: New Ford Fiesta Unveiled : Report & Pics - Page 46

If the new Fiesta still has the transmission tunnel hump at the rear its still cant be considered as spacious from inside. I think Ford has to do away with it to make it a proper 3 seater at the back.

Mustang, will the new Hatch have a similar boot space as with the present Figo or mare than that?

More than that. I don't know the exact capacity but that can be found out on the ford uk page.
