re: New Ford Fiesta Unveiled : Report & Pics - Page 120

Here is the ACI video review of the new fiesta.... Well Renuka said it has good handling and ride quality, good FE, lag under 1800 rpm and its NOT spacious than its rivals. Well I find Verna and the Vento to be not spacious at all in the rear. Wondering if I would be able to get inside the new Fiesta

Auto News India - New Ford Fiesta: More details unveiled | CarDekho.com

As for now, reports suggest that new 2011 Ford Fiesta’s backlight is expected to be changed from red to blue. Adding to this, Indian version of Ford Fiesta 2011 will come up with two dials showing fuel consumption in liters/100km and liters/hour. Furthermore, company is looking into regionalizing the Ford Fiesta i.e. modifying the car according to the area.Other changes in new Ford Fiesta comprises of rear seat added with padded support, armrest with cup holders and grab handles which are currently not available in American Ford Fiesta
Back light means Brake light? Is it okay to change it from Red to blue Read here.. hmm padded support will increase the back seat comfort a lot. It would have been even more better, if the person seated at back seat, could put his feet below the front seat (like in Vento)

No, it means the light of the instrument cluster.

I guess, by backlight what they mean is the illumination of the display units. From what I have seen in the NDTV review, the display is in red / orange.

Thanks for clarifying. Personally feel that blue would be a better choice here.

Yes it does, and has a small storage space as well. Check about 5 - 8 pages back for the pic.

Actually, it does not look like. That photo shows it, but i have watched keenly all the photos/videos of the reviews on other websites, none of them show or mention of the driver arm rest.

Actually, it does! I saw the video review on Overdrive (I think) show the same and mention that as India specific too.

Check the above post for photo of Driver's armrest

Edit: Apparently it can be folded so as to not obstruct with the the Hand Brake according to this pic: http://indianautosblog.com/wp-conten...a-India-12.jpg

Thanks for the pic, Neilguy. I hope it does not obstruct the hand brake like in Vento.

I am eagerly waiting for the Official TBHP review of this car.

GTO, any chances of putting up the review soon?

re: New Ford Fiesta Unveiled : Report & Pics - Page 120

Honda has slashed prices of the City (Ex-Showroom) by 44k-66k.
The base variant Ex-Delhi is now under 7.5L!!!
Link: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...-66-000-a.html

It would really set Ford thinking on their pricing. Despite it's handling etc, would be difficult to price it much higher than the City.

Seems to be very good news for people waiting for the Fiesta Petrol.

What would be it's effect on the Diesel variant?
