I typically don't pay heed to poser SUVs and imported soft-roaders.
But a Mahindra jeep with milk-cans in the back is a terror in Mumbai :-)

TATA SAFARI with safari suited guys in it !!! That is the ultimate. Of late a lot of the Political "hanger-ons" are into Endy's - typically black or white with the party ka "jhanda" (flag) on a flag pole.

One also should consider the real "dadagiri" guys in Sumos / Fortuners / Taveras with yellow number plates. They are the 2nd best version of the despisable lot !!!!!

What a topic Don't we see enough of this c**p everyday on the streets ???? (in a lighter vien)

God Help !!

Here's my take:

1) Any Sedan or SUV either in black or white with jet black tints all around.

2) Point (1) and a political party or PRESS symbol and a Flag on the edge of the bonnet

3) Point (1) + (2) and a V.V.I.P. Registration number

4) The car with a solid red number plate and only the national emblem on the number plates. Other road users can't even go close to such vehicles. In fact when this car moves others wait.

My uncle is still having his Silver Dadagiri W124 nearing 15 years. I should be conveying him that the Happy Go Lucky Gentleman is a Dada. He got it from Mercedes Benz in mid-80's when they opened shop in India and has maintained it well. I've never taken a close look at the car but last time I saw it, I noticed SRS Airbag written on the dash.

If dadagiri car selected on various catagories, i will opt as below:

1. By Looks: Toyota Fortuner- Man.... That looks like tank
2. By professional application: Scorpio- Its used by tourist operators(who drive like they own the road), Gundas (no explaination needed), land dalals (no explaination needed), and "social workers" on time of elections.
3. By use in criminal activities: My vote goes to Maruti Omni- Yes.. just check out any movie involving criminal scene or criminal news (kidnapping, robbery, shootouts,....) most of the time, you will find this vehicle directly or indirectly involved in it.
4. And in Mumbai if selected on basis of driving: My vote goes to BMC's Clean Up trucks-Yeah its not a car but they drive like they are going to crush everything on way. They go on spilling diesel, debris and all. I had one crash on my bike because of the leaking diesel tank of a such truck.

Any Car Dada Giri

I think any car (sedan) or SUV or MUV with white , silver , golden , black grey etc...with say a paid premium reg No. and dark tinits does the trick...

i dunno why but i have a white lancer .reg-2000 and dark tints..and it works for me..

Well Dadagiri for me has two definitions -
One is when the "Dada" is being chauffered. In that case in my opinion the Scorpio takes the cake. The "Dada" Scorpio owner has dark tints and outsized tyres and goes out doing his "Dada" Chores.
WEll the second definition is when one is a Dada while driving on the road. Here the size / looks of the car does not matter but the attitude with which it is driven. An Alto "Dada" can scare the daylights out of a "Scorpio" or Fortuner if he has the "Dada" attitude

A Scorpio- is ultimate car from that perspective these days. I have driven a lot around the countryside and highways and it commands awesome respect by all the autoricks, tractors, toll guys and 'rangdaari' tax guys- even Police guys think twice before waving at a white scorpio- specially if 3-4 guys are sitting inside and at least one of them in crisp white shirt. And of course, the dumpers- by any chance are the dumper drivers mostly 'deaf'? Just wondering- not that they dont give pass to white scorpio - but while in sedans mostly , I find them acting 'deaf'.

Nothing comes close to a Mahindra Classic Black with halogens on the bull bar.

Amongst the new ones, I guess the credit has to go to Xenon, though I dont find it that rough a vehicle.

Amongst the International cars, my vote goes to Hummer
