on the petrol SUV front, the new outlander has beaten CRV!
if Mitsu were to put in a diesel hart, it could beat the Captiva and probably Endy...

I know this thread is only for the passenger vehicle.
But anybody has any idea how much sales Ace magic is doing, I am seeing a lot of them on the roads nowadays.
I have a feeling Tatas are making very good business out of them nowadays. Just like how they made in the commercial carrier markets with the Tata Ace.

Its sales figures would surely help

Incredible compilation. One thing I can't get though: The Hyundai Tuscon is an amazing SUV. Its economical and pretty potent too. It has sold just 1 unit this year! Second, where is the SRV hatch made by Chevy? Its not featured in the sheet. Is it discontinued?

Agreed that the Tucson is an excellent soft-roader. Hyundai never really supported the product, and since March, its production / assembly has come to an end. You won't even find the Tucson on Hyundai's website.

Yes, SRV is out of the market too.

I dont agree at all. Marui has some concerns over quality few years back but after Swift they have changed the game. Swift, SX4, Ritz, Dzire & A-star are certainly good cars in quality also. That's the reason those are even sold in out of India market & are successful. MS makes suitable cars for Indian conditions & thats why they are market leaders.

Selling every second car in India is not a joke with so many players available in the market. & yes it is not possible without quality !!!

Suzuki is a failure out side of India.

Hi Aman, thanks for the information, noticed those data in the end of the article,

The sales figures for ACE Magic stands at 50000 for year 2009-10 it seems. Thats pretty good number almost 4k p.m.

I guess if they are going to reflect those number for its future launch based on Ace platform too that would be phonomenal.

Wow! Thats cool. I really like the concept of small SUV. If Rio is from Maruti/Hyundai stable I would have love to buy that car. The Premier Rio website says the engine is BSIII, are they upgrading the engine?

Why would either of those be there? It clearly says sales in fiscal year '09.
