Pre tensioners are also present in EXi & ZXI & Titanium models to reduce the effect of injury & 'submarining' in the event of a crash. It is not just to reduce suffocation caused by the airbag. Actually 'suffocation' is not the real reason behind developing it, Rather 'submarining' is the real reason for which pre tensioners are developed.

Dont test it though but i am telling you, the accelerometer for the pretensioner is present in your figo too.
If you are right thats another great feature ford has given its customers without shouting out that "i have this" like others. IIRC all other cars have this feature only on cars with Air Bags.

And what is this anti-drip wiping on the Titanium. I'm sure its not the wiper coming back on after a second when you use the washer. Coz that happens in my Exi too

No but it still leaves a steak of water running down especially if in motion.

Look at my story, very similar to Captain's which was like a thriller ! In my case, the challenge is totally different. Well, to be frank, it is my mistake as well. Tomorrow I should make my part of payment so that registration will happen on Saturday. Today and tomorrow being bank holiday, no way to take a DD. The dealer can accept money via internet transfer and their bank is ICICI. My money is in a different bank. I do have an ICICI account but there is no way to move money to that account by tomorrow. So now I am contacting all my friends and asking if they have an ICICI a/c. Same bank transfer happen immediate. But most of them don't have ICICI or those who have it, don't have enough money in it ! So, tomorrow I will have to do ATM hopping with many cards and somehow manage to collect enough money in hard cash to make payment. Let me enjoy the fun :-)

I am guessing your remaining payment would amount to a few lakhs? You have anyway lost the window to avoid the road tax hike. Why take a risk hauling around hard cash? There are many stories of crooks waiting around ATMs to pounce on people. Take a few friends as escort in case you are really planning to do this. And avoid public transport.

Gilead, your point is very valid ! Bangalore has become a haven for crooks who hang around ATM's ! Well, I might choose a different option of paying direct at the dealer using debit cards which they said, is fine. When I asked about credit card, they told it will be charged 2% extra ...For debit card, if they don't charge anything extra, that's cool. I can manage without any risk. Of course, no public transport with hard cash. I think the dealer will be flexible when I pay half the money money tomorrow which is available in my ICICI a/c and can move without delay. Rest will come by Saturday morning and I can pay that. They can hold the car until I make the full payment, so what risk for them ?

You would need a bag of ATM cards as each card has a maximum daily withdrawal limit of about Rs 15,000. You will then need to take all that cash along with you to make the payment. As was mentioned earlier, do be careful. The last thing we want to read in the newspaper is this heading:

Man robbed at ATM while
taking cash to buy Figo

All the very best in your cash-collection drive!

EDIT: I just saw your latest post and I too feel that debit cards are a safer option to transfer the money into your dealers account. Now, this would be an interesting heading in a newspaper:

Man uses 10 debit
cards to buy Figo

What say?

Don't worry, I am not over excited about getting my car. Will play it safe only. Just did not want the delivery to happen by Monday as my work is getting affected. Already my entire team at office is watching the fun for last 2 weeks. They are smug infact, as I don't get enough time asking the status of work assigned to them . Get the car and have a sigh of relief, start concentrating on work from next week, that's what I wish. Oh no, I have the work of handing over my old car so again it is same story next week. Pray for me that my employer or client does not give me a looooong vacation to enjoy new car !

Don't worry, you try a RTGS transfer from any bank to any bank. It is a real-time transfer initiated by RBI. Go to the bank in which the money is in and tell them to transfer it to the bank account of the dealer using RTGS. It can be done between 9:30am to 3pm. It is a real-time transfer so it credit immediately. I did this for my payment of car. But took a hour due to delay by my bank employees.

The Funds transfer request through RTGS NetBanking mode can be made only from 9:30 a.m to 3.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on Saturdays.

I think if you do a RTGS one Saturday you will get delivery on that day itself. It is also 100% safe and is free of cost.
If you are going for a ATM withdrawal, it has a daily limit of max Rs 50,000.

I am very superstitious about taking delivery of my car on a saturday, I dont buy anything that is made of metal on a saturday, But thats me & you can take delivery if you want Revvy.

But i advise that if you can take delivery on a sunday morning then it would be better

@ revy

RTGS or NEFT if done tomorrow morning should reflect within the same day right? Just talk to your dealer and ask him to keep the car with him until he gets the payment. I sure they would agree. some ATM's have a 20K limit.
And I agree with mustang here. Please take delivery on sunday. Saturday is a bad day. And whatever you do don't take delivary of the car during night time. Read below what happened to me.

Yes mustang that the thing I was asking you about! I could also see the same thing glow up on my dash board and thought it was for the seatbelt!

Ok update time,

Finally today at 6Pm we did the puja at a near by temple.

the Aircon of this car is as good as a honda civic minus the climate control features. Even with the blower at the lowest setting it cools you down very quickly.
The horn feels loud inside the cabin.
Engine isn't as smooth and refined as the Kseries from suzuki.

Some pics. Please excuse the poor quality picture. Lack of power and night time. I will surely upload fresh pictures tomorrow along with my own ownership report.
Car has done about 36Km in total We were waiting to do the puja before we started using it. Tonight we plan to take it out for a small drive.

My frustration towards metro ford grows and grows!
This was when I saw the inside of the car properly. And the metro ford guys handed over a dirty car! Last night we got the car at only 9 so couldn't make out much.
From the yard the car comes without any mats. At the showroom they just put the mats over the carpet which is covered with dirt and mud. They never bothered to clean it.

Another lesson for me don't take deliveries during night time!

Maybe, you all Figo owners should be called Figo India Group Owners (F.I.G.O)!

Hey Mustang, is it true that the black Figo will absorb more heat than the other colours? Captain Slow's black Figo's a real black beauty. I wonder if it is really true that black cars look dirtier or that they don't look as clean when washed as compared to other coloured-cars.

By the way, this Saturday superstition is something new to me. It is a prevalent custom among certain regions or communities in India?
