Is VW India getting a new DSG box?

VW India now does not have any model with a DSG box. Its sibling, Skoda, however, does so. In 2009, VW had to recall in the US its vehicles with a DSG box. Will VW India now go ahead with only M/T or is it bringing in a new DSG box shortly? Any experiences with the DSG box are welcome.

There are 2 kinds of DSG boxes. One is the wet clutch DSG gearbox (with 6 gears, that was on the laura).. and the other is the dry clutch (with 7 gears that is on the superb).

Its the dry clutch ones that are mind blowing..

i believe the VW Beetle comes with DSG, a six speed IIRC.
edit: now checked VW website Beetle does come in A/T, a 6 speed one, but it doesnt not specify if it is a DSG.

The Beetle comes with an ordinary torque converter automatic. VW might introduce their latest DSG based on customer feedback.

The difference between Laura MT and AT prices before and after CR engine upgrade has increased. So it seems the upgraded DSG is being offered on it.

DSG (all variants - dry and wet 6 and 7 speed) in the Laura & Superb ensure that the Auto timings and fuel consumption figures are faster and better than in the Manual versions.

But DSG is expensive and slightly delicate.
