Whoz stealing the Emblems/Logos?

Lately I have seen many cars on Mumbai roads, whose emblems are stolen. It used to happen earlier but the case of stolen Emblems seem to have increased. Even the Meru Cabs are not spared. I have seen many Logans without the emblem. Apart from Renault, Skoda and Toyota are the other common car makers targeted at this.

My friend had to buy a new logo for I think 1200 for her Octy.

So, whats the scene here.. any idea?

I recently got my Esteem painted and bought the entire set of badges from Opera House for 100 Rs, maybe that explains why Maruti are not prone to this malaise.

Hope this madness stops, soon.
My Wagon R's rear logo was stolen twice in month's tim!!!

I have been extra careful by not parking my car anywhere outside in an unknown area. Further, these days I don't mind spending Rs.20 for the parking in the mall parking (have always parked inside earlier too) where the chances of the logo being flicked are a little less than when its parked on the road.

Also, I noticed that this trend is spreading fast to the other parts of the country too. On a recent trip to Nagpur, I noticed a similar trend though it was miniscule.

In Kerala definitely the favorite brand for logo thieves are ford logos or is there any specific reason? Almost 50% of Fiestas in Kerala have their front logos missing.

Just as i was talking about logo's getting stolen the other day with a friend, my Logan's logo was stolen yesterday. And the surprising part is that it got stolen in my industrial estate. The thing is that a portion of the estate is under road cutting, so the compound wall on one side is open to the main road. I am not replacing it at the moment. Just don't understand the sadistic pleasure these nincoomps get. And for sure i will never ever buy it from pawn shops or chor bazaar, never. It would only support their cause.

Recently noticed a lot of fiesta's missing their logos on the front grill. Does the logo fall off easy or is foul play at work here too?

@rohan_fonseca +1

Almost 50% of Fiestas I see on the roads have their logos missing. I think it falls offor there is some thing mysterious. But it's not happening with Ikons or Fusions. Only with Fiesta. Any Fiesta owners here?

Hey guys, I didn't know logo theft was happening so often.
This was an eye-opener.

I do remember seeing a couple of Mercs without their famous monograms. :-(

But any steps to prevent such a thing?

Even I have gained a entry to the club. Yesterday the Tata as well as V2 logo of my Indica was flicked when it was parked in Vashi sector 17.
On the way back home I noticed atleast 50% of the cars did not have the logos irrespective of the Brands.
