Tata new design centre ?

just read this in autocar that Tata bought the design and engg. firm Incat Tech. based in UK !!!

so indica V3 designed in UK? this should be a big advantage for tata. if an ind design can sell like this imagine what a UK firm can do.

Incat is some kind of general consulting company. Dont think the'll get much help with hands on engineering.

Checked out INCAT's website - they're into product lifecycle management and other such engineering solutions. They are NOT a design centre or automobile designers...they simply provide services to the automobile sector, amongst others.

I dont think this acquisition is going to have any impact on the vehicles that Tata sells (or what Tata Motors passes off as vehicles in this market, post Varun Roy).

Think the Malaysians will sell Lotus, that too to Tata who they consider their most direct competitors in the coming year?

Good Deal !

Good deal for TATA but they got to get down to technicalities. They got some serious issues with their engines and the maintenance of the vehicle. That ought improve their image. Just procuring a new design facility is not going to ensure better design.
