All the best, Varun. After reading on similar consumer cases in the recent past, I am sure that Tata will be pulled up for delivering a faulty Sumo to you.

As has been in place already, if you need help...you know where to reach me.

Thank you Satyamenon, Mclaren, Max, Srasania, GTO, DRC for your good wishes.

The case has been posted to the 27th of this month. For a change Tata's did respond this time by sending their Advocate, who wanted more time to file their objections. The President ( judge) gave them a weeks time to do that. Lets see what happens on the 27th.

so long....

This is our legal system guys. Get used to it. Chances are the next hearing will be adjourned and they will be given another date a few months away. This would probably go on for some time.

sheer lethargy or/and indifference.

Here's some more news about the indifferent attitude of Tata Motors.

An e-mail sent to pshankar@tatamotors.com ( a very Senior Tata Executive ) on the 28th October,2005 was returned on Wed 22 Feb 2006 with the following message. " WAS DELETED WITHOUT BEING READ ".

The other e-mails sent to some 15 odd senior executives holding offices around the world have not responded, but atleast I have acknowledgements to show that they have read the mail.

so long ....

Sorry Folks. Was away on a long road trip. Well the Tata Guys have responded by saying that I have deliberately spoilt the Car by my bad driving. They have denied most of my objection. Even the replacements made by them were not neccessary but were done because they wanted to satisfy me. They also claim, that I have deliberately created these records to sue them for no fault of theirs. Can you imagine Tatas doing this to their return customers.

Well, I will be producing the evidence now. Unfortunately you can't appeal for the recall of all these models from the market as well as those sold, in the Consumer Court. Well I may do this at the civil court, because I have met many Victa users, who are all having the same problems and are willing to join me in my fight for justice.

In the mean while the front left Power window regulator is broken, the Speedometer console needs to be replaced because it makes a funny noise at 35 and 70 Kmph speeds. No rewards for guessing, as usual PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. The gear box rattles in 2nd and 4th gear. The power stearing grates as always.

so long.......

I'm shocked that such a thing can happen in this day and age Varun... admire your courage and will power on this ! You're an example all of us should emulate! Keep it up and do let us know what happens in the end !

All the best !
