Yeah it shows there desperation !! LHD on display !!. I guess they have got it all wrong. For 17 + lakhs there are better options available .....................

Hey Sid

There is Fabia sedan in one of the pictures of Yeti (interiors) (16 picture in the first post), if I am not mistaken. Which Skoda dealership is this one.

Those who have experienced it: Other than the looks, is the Yeti superb, as in a verdict?

Don't know it would be the cheapest SUV softroader - compared to the Captiva, CRV, Outlander etc, and should take away that market completely at 17L.

It is not exactly an alternative to the Fortuner / Endy / Pajero etc 7 Seater Ladder Frame SUV's.

The 2.0 Ltrs Diesel has a 140 bhp output and on a power to wt ration has more power / tone than the Fortuner and the Endy both.

Totally agree with that bit, but we Indians, have this thing about Butch SUV's - don't we ? Yeti certainly does not qualify as that. A promising car, but too iffy if you ask me

Cheers

Sweet pics Sid, Yeti looks sweet. It would be my pick of the whole SUV segment around the speculated price tag.

Ford Fusion story, part II ?

Is this like the Ford Fusion part II

I see VW Tiguans every now and then and its easy to mistake it for a large hatch like Ford Fusion. This one is no better.

It will sell, just because of the Goodies it has to offer; very much like the Superb. (Well if they choose to provide them).

I have not gone through the entire thread, but the pics are promising. For me, the Yeti looks great. Does the 4x4 have a low ratio?

If the top of the line diesel version with 6 airbags, hill descent, GPS , 4 * 4 and the works, comes at 16 lac, then Yeti does make a case for itself.
Else, it will remain a niche product for the rich.

You will not get it for 16, but I would say 18-19 OTR. But I also you wont be seeing Hill Descent for sure. 4WD yes.

Thanks you anekho

I got confused due to not so clear picture, & a post by another member in the VW Vento thread that he saw a sedan (similar to Vento) with Skoda badges.

Looking at the pics i feel tucson will have more space, i.e. leg room in the rear and cargo area.built and specs will be higher on a yeti, but that price is huge. it comes in the same class of the huge Fortuner right ?

Infractions: 0/3 (12)

so here's a toy yeti pic from my collection. cant wait to see the real thing once it comes to any dealer here in Bangalore.

yes indeed it looks lovely.

i wish the pricing comes out to be reasonable - the biggest bugbear for enthusiastic people - pricing.

18 lacs plus OTR BLR for the top end fully loaded version seems likely according to many. Unless as mentioned before the Skoda fellows give us all a pleasant surprise!

why are they being so cagey about it?

its about time they released the information to the general indian public!!

That goes to show the respect Skoda has on indian customers, they won't be doing such blunders in US & UK.

So is this going to be a fortuner killer
