Re: Hindustan Motors sinking? To report to the BIFR

I think CK Birla and Vijay Mallya are competing with each other!
Both seem determined to "try and soldier on" the more their operational losses pile up !

Re: Hindustan Motors sinking? To report to the BIFR

The other day I saw an Amby dealership sandwiched between a welding workshop and a sticker cutting shop. Such a sad state of affair.

I was talking to one of my friends and jokingly said that "I will take up walking as a mode of transport if I was forced to drive an Ambassador" .

I really dislike the car and what it represents.

I would be happy to se it go.

More than that they are probably using these operational losses to shift their overall corporate tax liabilities for the entire group, more so in the case of the Birlas, I am just guessing. There is no way they can run an unprofitable business for so long prime real estate aside.

I am anyway surprised to see any Amby dealerships nowadays. The only numbers they do I think is with the Pajero Sport and the Outlander. Most Amby sales are probably affected through direct agreements between some government agencies and the factory.
