For the past couple of days Ford India has started advertising the Fiesta Limited edition again offereing Fiesta petrol for 5.73L ex Thane. Why does Ford have to resort to this type of marketing gimmickery. Why dont they straightaway reduce the price of the Fiesta and sell it as normal versions. Is it that Fiesta production has been reduced to accomodate the surge in Figo delivery. Or is it a way to attract the Manza, Dzire buyers?
Haven't seen any limited editions of Linea, City or for that matter Manza, Dzire?

Which model of Fiesta is for 5.73L?

Ford is most probably pushing off the stock, in order to introduce the new Fiesta.

Its for the Exi model.

I do not see any issue in this. If you are pleased you can visit their showroom and book a car. If not does'nt mind. It is open market and every one has right to give offers as per their needs.

Giving offers is not straightforward job. There are many data and things need to be considered before they come out of this. I feel it is working for them so they always come up with such an offer. I do not thing there is any gimmick in this.

Strange, there is no such offer here in blr. Are there are 'feature'-additions to this special edition.
Can you pls upload a scanned image of the ad?

it's there in all cities i guess. remember seeing an ad a month back here in chennai.
features seem to be the same as per carwale.com

i just booked a ford fiesta 1.6S. There was no offer on the car except the dealers offer of free insurance and additional 3rd yr warranty.

offer from Ford is a celebration of 1 lakh fiesta cars they sold recently..

Limited edition is good.. but why cant they offer it in all the cities :Frustrati.

It is not available down south.

I think the limited editions are offered in select cities. In the western/northern India cities petrol version are offered whereas for southern inida cities diesel versions are offered.

Maruti also resorts to this 'discount all round the year' gimmick with all their cars and some Rs. xxxxx worth benefits. And when i go to the showroom, they say, the maximum retail price only. Maybe dealers create this ad concept to attract customers.

i agree with anujmishra.. offers are given by manufacturers after drawing up a strategy and whole lot of thinking. if you like the offer, go ahead and take it. all car manufacturers come up with schemes to attract customers. India is a highly dynamic and charged car market now. Everyone wants a share of this market and its not to be doubted if any manufacturer is giving a good car as a limited edition. Ford Fiesta is a very successful model all over the world.

Soon the mods might lock new threads on Fiesta LEslol:

If for comes out with a limited edition it could mean that a new variant is around the corner. Thats how things have been with Ford till date.
