Maruti plans to relaunch Alto with 1000cc K-series engine

Its little strange that Maruti is very silent about this re-launch, dealers are tight-lipped, maruti website does not give a teaser, only official new was the 10 sec promo, that also not on all channels.. come on Maruti, you are launching an upgraded winner to take on the rivals, the market should know this..

A Chennai dealer has confirmed to me today that the launch is happening tomorrow and the price hike is expected to be in the region of 25-30k over the current Alto.

DO I notice Alloy Wheels in the Advertisement ?????????? May be they are introducing it in the Vxi model.

Also is there no stereo in the Vxi model. ??

Looks like the higher version has alloys.same one like swift zxi..

Really looking forward to this one! A bit long in the tooth perhaps,but perfect bang for your buck! Hopefully,it'll bring back the charm of the 1.1L VXi back,and the 800 MPFi 5 Speed!

IFRC, their is a thread in the ICE section that mentioned the location near the windshield is actually good. (For cars like Alto, WagonR, Spark). Downside is that you need to settle for 4" components.

Thanks ji, my confusion complexity seems very high.

I am an ICE freak. But i also love peppy petrols.
While the former asks for Build Quality the latter asks for weight reduction.
i am trying to find a sweetspot between the two and Alto k10 seems to promise that.

Anyhow, i ll have to modify the Door panels as i already have 6" mid basses.
Eagerly waiting for the Alto K10

The shape of the bonnet bend and the gril does make the car look more solid and ready for the power inside it.
I am sure its going to power up the charts of Maruti even better than current Alto numbers. For sure Maruti will have better marketing plans for the car, like they usually do for all new launches. 25k increase is nothing compared to Value one would derive out of the car. Looking forward for it.

Launch in between 10:30am to 11am.
Changes -
Alto Standard - remains same
Alto Lx - remains same
Alto Lxi - k10, price increase by 15k max
Alto Vxi - k10, Price increase upto 25k max
Vxi - front fog lamps, Front PW,remote boot opener,
For both Lxi & Vxi - 13" Tubeless tyres, odo display upgrade, rare seat leg room increased, hight increase, length increase
No Alloys in Vxi too
