Pretty good design. If they can get quality upto the mark and price it around 9 lakhs whereabouts,it could sell.

This seems to be one of the better offerings from the China.Looks promising and thankfully far from tacky!

Whats even more interesting is the Hover X240(Australia) has received a 4 Star ANCAP(Australasian New Car Assessment Program) rating!

Great Wall Hover X240 gets 4-star rating in ANCAP!

Yes,the side profile is exactly similar to the Axiom but with a different,in fact better front and rear. Its based on the Toyota 4Runner platform.
I dislike the large hood scoop. But the headlamps and driver's seating position is what interests me!

If priced right, it should sell well I hope.

Your profile says you're located in Dubai and that you drive a HONDA Civic. Practice what you preach dude.
my apologies, if your feelings got hurt by my remarks and that im not practicing what im preaching!

For once, i actually liked the design. Take a look at this pic which i picked off the internet for the Hover CUV with 4x4. Actually looks desirable!

The vehicle looks decent and from the pics seems to better built than its peers coming out of China. It should be a decent buy if priced on par with the M&M Scorpio.

Looks awesome. But why can't Chinese resist the urge to even copy the names-- Hover sounding so close to the esteemed Rover?

Chinese Great Wall Haval H3 snapped during testing

Another Chinese model that may be destined for the Indian market, the Great Wall Haval H3 has been seen testing near Pune. The pictures were posted on indianautosblog.com. The badges had been covered up on the test vehicle. The response to Chinese offerings in the Indian market hasn't been the best for offerings such as those from Force Motor's and Premier Automobiles.

The beefy looking SUV comes with Petrol and Diesel engines. The Diesel being a turbocharged 2.5L, 4 cylinder, 16 valve motor, that puts out 107 BHP. Typical of Chinese offerings the H3 comes stuffed to the gills with features like, sunroof, leather seats, automatic headlights and wiper, 17" alloy wheels, all wheel discs, ABS, EBD, dual front airbags etc. The interiors look fairly basic if well equipped and seat only 5.

Re: Scoop pics: Great Wall Hover CUV being tested in Pune

This is one good looking SUV, with proper design. Unlike the disconnected design bits which is popular with Chinese... this one looks well-put-together with a clean design language and zero-quirkiness.

And the AC vents reminds me of the OPTRA's vents...

If launched at a competitive price, this may sell in good numbers. And as usual, it all depends on the marketing and A.S.S.

Even the Chinese now are eying on the Indian's craze for SUVs! Whether this one succeed in capturing the Indian market or not, but surely a worry for people in TATA and mahindra !
