WOW!
Excellent coverage, GTO.
It is good that they allowed you to photograph the factory while most of the other companies does not allow cams or even mobile phones!.
Do you have any videos of the visit?

Excellent Photoblog!

5-Star Rated PhotoBlog

Felt like I was walking through the plant.

The "Child Parts" segment is a very good way to drive home the point that Ford's working towards cheaper cost of ownership.

Thanks a ton GTO.

Your thread was very informative, and in a way, helped many like me, be more confident about Ford quality. After all they were the ones who claim to have taught the japs how to make cars, and somehow the japs managed to beat them in their own game!

Very smart thinking on part of ford management in inviting you guys!

Awesome one GTO. Really terrific.
That poster should have had one more frightening thought/ point added.
If there were no cars, there would be no t-bhp.

i assume they run different rated springs and dampers with different valving.
So, I reckon only the part numbers of these particular parts would differ. Everything else should be the same.

I was part of the team that set up the "lights" system in the factory. So great that GTO noticed it!!

Awesome thread GTO! Really enjoyed going through all the pics.

The "child parts" concept is good and i hope Ford pushes it down to their dealers. Dealers are good in feigning ignorance of the same and push a complete part to the customer. But thanks to this thread Tbhpians know the availability and need not get conned into buying a complete part un necessarily. Door skin child part is a first i guess!

Excellent write-up, got the feeling of being in the actual factory for the visit.

Had the opportunity of driving past the TOYOTA factory near Bangalore. Its a lesson in the 'Assembly line' technique of making calls. The factory is like a long scale, with steel sheets at one end and spanking new INNOVAs at the other. Magical

Great pics GTO. Its a delight to see a car factory of International standards in India. The test track must have been the most happening part of your visit.
