The Punto and Polo are both timeless designs and they come a joint second.
The i20 would be the next in the best looking list

Some more additions, the Alfa Romeo Brera and the Citroen DS3 Racing.

India specific, its got to be this IMO:
1. A Class: Amazing looking car, especially with the slat diamond grille.
2. Mini Cooper: In dark navy blue with white stripes, I will kill to own one.
3. Chevrolet SRV: I think its by far the best looking hatch/notch back India has ever seen. In black with that spoiler, what road presence!
4. Fiat Punto: Love the white, red and blue. IMO the black hides the grace.
5. Zen Carbon and/or Steel.
6. Current VW Polo.
7. Old generation Swift.

PS: Is it only me or there are some people who like the Mahindra Verito Vibe as well?

I really dont like anything else on offer today. No offence to anyone, to each his/her own.

Interesting thread.
IMO from the ones available in the Indian market following are my all time favorites
1 - Maruti Zen
2 - Volkswagen Polo
3 - BMW 1 series.

These are the 3 cars that I would like myself to be seen in.

Wagon R, Suzuki Swift,Skoda Fabia, Fiat Punto, Mini cooper and the Merc A class even though can be classified as good looking, I think I am more in love the simple lines of the ones I mentioned above.

The ones that I don't like to associate with the word beauty are the Maruti Alto, Hyundai10, i20, Grand i10,Ritz and Etios Liva.

And the ones that are not even in my list are the Hyundai Eon, Maruti Astar, Maruti Estilo and the Tata Indica Vista ( the Indica V1 looked much better ).

Again my personal preference.

Bumped into this old thread. The last post was in 2013, I guess much water has flown under the river since then and we have had some terrific launches.MY new list would be:

1. Polo(still)
2. Elite i20
3. Honda Jazz
4. Baleno
5. Ecosport (its a hatch not a SUV..NOM)
6. Punto Abarth (w/o those hideous vinyls)
7. Etios Cross(dont shoot me on this, we have one in the neighbourhood and it looks good to me)

Most beautiful hatchbacks besides the A-class would be the VW Polo and the erstwhile Maruti Zen.

So undoubtedly A class leads the aesthetics department, next I feel its the chevrolet SRV. SRV always make me have a second look, especially its rear profile.

I am surprised why is no one talking about Volvo V40.
I think its a solid understated car and even challenges Merc A class and BMW 1 series in every aspect at a price which doesn't feel like a CBU price at all.

The majority of Good looking cars are pretty old and amongst the latest one the Elite i20 and Merc A-Class were launched in Aug 2014 and 2013.
Ford EcoSport, another good looking car was launched in June 2013.

Baleno also sports Stunning side profile and very good back but the front is a big let down.
