We need to blame ourselves. All know that FIATs cars are by far the best in Class cars in India.

Fiat in India is tied up with a company who brought Industrialization to India - The TATA Group. Still people are not trusting FIAT.

I feel the end loser is the customer. Such wonderful cars are available and nobody wants to buy them because of TATA?!

Other than FIAT, I would choose FORD. Ford Figo, Ford Fiesta.. Aah, amazing cars!

As I have read many times on this forum, our responses are bound to be atypical, this being an enthusiasts forum.

Outside of t-bhp, cars are commodities, a means of transport - much the way we think of a fridge or an A/C. This is reflected by the state of cars in our country (dents, scratches, solid carpets, scuffed interior plastics, clunky suspensions, smokey engines and what not!)

Once something is viewed as a commodity, you need to get *all* the attributes right to make an impact in the marketplace. Doing well in a few areas is not enough. Which is exactly what FIAT's position is today.

(All of this opinion/perception not necessarily based on any facts)

This forum is not always representative of the Indian car buyer. Fiat may have a good fan following here but that doesn't translate to sales

Surprised to see FIAT leading the poll.

Am I loyal to that brand? Not really. (Check my vote)
Do I drive a Fiat? Yes, not one but two.
Why? When I looked for a car fitting my budget and requirements, it was mostly the only choice. Interestingly, for the second time too after few years.

Fiat Palio - 2006
Grande Punto - 2009

The bold and the beautiful!

He he... Someone needs to hypnotize me to make me tell that.

It all started from the day I test drove Petra 1.6 for my friend.

Distinguish FIAT & PADMINI ?
PADMINI is actually FIAT 1100, designed and engineered by FIAT,Italy. And so are Uno, Siena, Weekender, Adventure, Petra, Palio, 500, Punto, GPunto

People make it sound like FIAT lost sales after TATA tie-up. Infact, sales improved after the tie-up! If i remember correctly, Palio was selling in double digit figures before the tie-up and the launch of the multijet. And if the service back-up was the sole reason, Manza wouldnt have sold 5 times than that of Linea!

FIAT never loses a poll in team-bhp! Its defenitly an enthusiast's brand in India, no doubt!

If you are referring to Sujith1100 or me(arun1100), Sujith owns a Fiat 1100(Padmini) and 2010 Fiat Grande Punto.

I own 2 Fiat 1100s and I have booked a Linea.

I own 4 Classic Fiats! But not a new gen Fiat as I am confused between Punto and Linea.

I also love Nissan cars. Is it because I drive the Nissan powered Premier 118 NE?! He he.. I also Love the new Nissan Micra! But I fear it wont suffice my requirements. But a damn cute car!!

even i am surprised to see fiats ruling. though i am not a huge fan of padminis, but i love FIAT cars like palio, punto & linea.

i think fiat is ahead because it gets the votes of both padmini lovers & punto/palio lovers. so what? heck, both are fiats after all!
