May 2010 Sales Figures

Interesting to note that i20 P sells in huge number but diesel seems to be a slow mover.

Also interesting is that the Figo petrol is moving in good numbers.

@xingamazon there definitely seems to be a trend here. For the swift and Figo since the production is at max capacity probably maruti and Ford makes it in the 45-55 ratio and that's why the pattern is consistent on all the months. not sure for the ritz though.

any one observed the sales of Prius! last month 21 and this month its 35. What you guys think, Prius is doing good?

Any numbers from Hybrid civic?

Honda Sales for May:

New Delhi, June1, 2010: Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) Ltd., leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, sold 4,067 units during the month of May 2010 as against 4,073 units sold during the corresponding month last year.

Model wise sales break-up: Jazz: 205; City: 3121; Civic: 533; Accord: 173; CR-V: 35

No details on Hybrid Civic

Honda i think had sold out all the Hybrids it had earmarked for India,albiet at a heavy discount.

Only Tata and Mahindra make custom products for India. Not Maruti.

How often is it that you see a Honda as rental car in USA? As I mentioned previously Honda's sales for fleet are negligible.

Man, this is awesome. And the biggest revelation is i20 (P) selling way more than the (D). Atleast this should make Honda to rethink about Jazz pricing.

Not many Honda's from rental until now but lately the number is growing, atleast here in DC - IAD airport, one can see quite a few Honda and Toyota from rentals. And again I replied on the post that stated "Honda does not sell to Rentals"

Very surprised to see the split between i20 petrol and diesel versions. I was under the impression that i20 sales picked up after the introduction of the diesel version.

Someone else said on the forum that the best thing that happened to i20 (P) is the Jazz - looks like that's true!!
