re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

The wait doesn't seem to end. M&M should atleast give a temporary date when they expect to launch the vehicle. Being one of those who is eagerly looking for the launch of this vehicle, it is getting downright irritating now...

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

I think this is going to b e a runaway success. Especially the gem of a 1.5 Crdi engine churning out 100 bhp and that price point. But i find this strange that this might eat into their own market of the Xylo, especially in the tourist taxi segment. If its going to be a 7 seater, why would the tourist taxis buy the Xylo then? Anyways, all the Marutis and Nissans better watch out. None of their diesel hearts in their announced/showcased MPVs have 100 bhp churned out.

Gogi bhai,

I have seen the mini xylo a few days earlier and have posted pics. The vehicle is a namesake 7 seater. The last row of seating is 2 jump seats and is good only for ferrying 2 suitcases (not even kids or dogs).

But yes, the interior quality is up by leaps and bounds.

I guess it would be like a 5 seater with some space in the boot for 2 kids.

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

I don't know why I feel like this
The out going generation of design would be of Bolero and Scorpio and new design generation cues would be Xylo and XU500 based. ( Thar is also getting revised AFAIK)
May be they would be playing with the wheel base of these products to meet all the necessary segements. Like,

Thar and Family - Exclusive for Off roading and then to other requirements.
Xylo and family - Taxi / tour operation and other people carrying purpose.

XUV500 and family - Luxuy SUV segment.

Strictly my thought!

Open to discussion

If M&M try to target the Taxi segment then I believe its a wrong option, Where the passenger will carry the luagage in case of long dirve. Otherwise it should be strictly City Taxi operator some thing like Auto. Pay extra for your luagage

This is definitely the Xylo makeover (or facelift) what ever you may like to call it & not the Mini-Xylo. Even then it would be interesting to see what all changes the Xylo has received in its new avataar.

I would expect the car only by the second half. Looks like they are still improving the drive train refinement. So 3-4 months of work could be expected is what me thinks!

I too got this mailer even today. It seems to be more about the Xylo facelift and E9 trim getting added.

Sub 4 meter Xylo is still to be cleared by ARAI.
Heard from sources, it might be out only by June/ July. Hope my source is proved wrong!

The Site seems to be over loaded. I am trying to open the Features : Technology page and clicking the individual feature links. They are just not opening. Only the mHawk engine details are elaborated even if we click on any other features

Mahindra Xylo
