Any hints whether this baby will have a rear AC vent too? So far I am hooked to it!

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

Has the leg-room reduced only in the 3rd row or in 1st & 2nd row too?

Can the 2nd row seats be folded like in regular Xylo?

My oh my, now we have a different beast waiting to be launched

Glued to this thread like never before

The mini Xylo seems to have a much lower GC as well as CG, so could handle better than its older brother, for sure !

oh come on, I am sure you can reveal the planned timelines
I wouldnt mind it even if it is strictly a 5 seater. It would be decent to drive around in town as well as on the highway. and I dont need to seat more than 4 (a prime reason why the other SUVs are overpriced for me - I wont use 20% of the space ever)
I agree with some other here - the handling may be a concern due to the tall stance

As of now, the launch is expected to be in June/July 2011. However let us wait for the budget. If there is overwhelming increase in excise duty specific to diesel vehicles than the launch may be deferred/postponed.

No reliable info on this one. However there is lot of speculation that it is going to be a 3 cylinder 1500cc CRDe engine similar to Xylo but for the loss of one cylinder. I have doubts on it as 3/4 Xylo makes it 1875cc approx. So bore & stroke will have to be reduced significantly to downsize it to 1500cc. These are too many changes to make economic sense as sharing of parts with Xylo would then be minimal.
Another rumour is that they may use Logan's Diesel engine.

With significant improvements I presume? This is one gem of an engine but may be underpowered for a heavy vehicle like this.

Yeah, the Renault DCi engine would be a good option, any day better than a 3 pot Mahindra diesel, but 65bhp only will be a problem.
M-sparrow

^^ Internationally, 1.5 dCi already produces 110 bhp. Nissan Juke, Nissan Cube, Renault Mégane, Dacia Duster are few cars that already use 110-bhp engine.

I am just hoping it looks like the polished version of the Genio.
