re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

Good catch, it seems to be the double cab version of recently launched mahindran Genio pickup

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

@Vinayrathore - The truck Looks like XYLO Crew Cab / twin cab version of GENIO. Look at the ORVM they are similar to XYLO.

Also i hope the Mini XYLO comes in 4wd option.
M&M

Mini XYLO might cannibalise Bolero sales to good extent.
Its intresting to see how many variants of Mini XYLO are launched.
If launched as a 7 seater and around 5L mark, it will be a HIT.

Looks like it will get the same motor as Scorpio EX/Logan's diesel ( But i guess its above 1500? )

may be its a xylo double cab pickup!!

EDIT just saw the posts of prram & silverado.

@ silverado
the Scorpio has a M2DI (2500cc) & Logan has 1.5 DCI engine.
AFAIK the mini xylo has a very different engine than these two, a 3 cyl, 1.5 ltr cylinder engine derived from mHawk.

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

It seems to be the Twin-cab(Getaway) version of Xylo/Genio.
Its rear is too much low-slung due to the Non-Flat Rear loading/cargo deck.
But the suspicious thing is the missing very much prominent top-part of centre console which houses central AC vents in Xylo.
Lets wait & watch what's next on the cards of M&M on this platform.

They appeared to be in a hurry as they quickly disappeared on the jungle road in the Bandipur sanctuary area I and chose not to follow as was traveling with my family. Managed to take these pictures from the back though.

Side profile would give you a better idea but I could not capture that.

Clear side profile of cut-Xylo is here:

Huge gap in the wheel-wells because of smaller tyres is irritating.

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

Clearly the wheels are very small for this size of car. Looks like 13 inch tyre
M&M please give the right size tyre...
At least 15 inch should be great.

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

By no way I would believe that this vehicle is an PURE 7 seater, even in any case by looking at the vehicle dimensions it seems a cramped 5+2. A 5 seater configuration is what I could think of comfortable seating.

This is nothing but a largish hatch - I hope M&M dont try to position it as a mini SUV!!

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

I like it. The smaller tires may be because of mileage constraint. The tall stance and the GC makes the car Mini-SUV. As said above, tires can be upgraded later too.

re: Mahindra Testing sub-4 meter XYLO. EDIT : Fresh PICS on Page 38

As per update from this internet link of "bharath"Spied it does appear that the tyre well will be huge and I wonder if i have spotted this roof rail somewhere... Yes its on the Mahindra Verito(Logan). The rear end with tyre will look better than the full bodied XYLO

Also the front door cladding looks pretty similar to the current XYLO.
