it might be just like an overrated and overpriced car
lets wait we are just days away from getting tbhp review maybe frm our mumbains or someone from delhi lets wait its better not to guess
which may lead to misconceptions
as per the talk this car would never be a head turner like ikon nor its gonna make it big in sales
so guys wait wait and dont biuld any hopes on this car
all those who are waiting for this car to launch do wait fo vtec
i am not a ford disliker but they mostly have their sticker prices higher the supposed to be onthe road prices

The price is going to be betwenn 6.5-7.5 lakhs...and I think its going to overtake the Ikon sales in a couple of years.

Pick up the November issue of Autocar. It's got a first drive test of the Fiesta !

They say its damn good and are expecting the price to be around 6 for the petrol and around 7 for the diesel.

Hai ppl,

Ford is famous (or infamous) for pricing it wrong in India and later offering 60 / 70k discounts. If pricing of Fusion is any indication you can bet that these guys don't know anything about pricing.... they should take elementary lessons from the Japs.......

The dealer told me Fiesta diesal will be priced at 7 Lakh and the petrol one at 6.50L. The petrol one will have the 1.6 L, 100 BHP Duratek engine. They are banking on the diesal one to roll up the number........ let's see how the market takes it up.

Just wonder how many EXi's and ZXi's and SXi's they'll have for this car.
To beat the NHC, they must give more features than the comparable NHC model at a lesser price. That is of course for the petrol. The diesel anyway has its own USP.

Ford always has nice cars up their sleeve. But they always end up loosing out on styling...I dont why they dont introduce their massive truck range as atleast imports in India. That way one could buy attitude... Amen
Regards to all

saw the new car on the road today.... it had a temporary number on it.... it looks hybrid between focus and mini ford mondeo... well probably not as classy as optra, but fresher!

Is Ford offering the TN people any special discount secretly without letting the nation know?

Don't think so. But TN has always been a predominantly diesel car market and Ford is a preferred brand here.

I had recently posted about 2 of my neighbours replacing their Ikon 1.8s with 1.8 Nxts. One of them also had a Tata Sumo, which he replaced recently with ..... a Tata Sumo Victa.

Talk about customer retention (for both the brands)!

cannot say anything until i have driven it myself, but personally, the 68 bhp of fiesta will not match the accent crdi's 82 bhp and the 19kgm torque.perhaps the 4 cylinder will be more refined than a 3-cylinder but ford will find it difficult convincing the customers.moreover i think the hyundai unit will be more fuel efficient.ford doesnt know how to price products neither do they know which diesel engine to put in their cars.all their diesel cars(ikon, endeavour, the now defunct escort and mondeo)had sluggish and underpowered diesels.i think they will put the same engine in the fusion diesel.

Autocar review says its pretty refined and the most silent of the sub 10L diesels, and quite good as a city car.

hi shuvc,i trust autocar the most so it will be refined.of course a 4 pot will be more refined than a 3 pot,but only a comparison test will confirm all aspects.and actually is the fiesta a competition for the accent or the elantra?
