Any idea how many dealerships do maruti/tata/hyundai/GM have in India VS ford. That would give a better idea regarding the success of figo.

Nice work, Ford. Way to go.
The success of Figo can also attributed to the fact that Ford had opened a record no of dealership before Figo was launched which ensured that vehicles were made available to customers for test ride as well as deliveries. This I think brought a flood of bookings for Figo.
Would like to know how much Fiesta were sold consdiering the fact that Ford was concentrating more on Figo.

Surprising to see that there are still buyers for U-Va. I never liked the car. In the crowded hatchback market its good numbers for U-VA. Dont know who are these people who buy U-VA over cars like Figo, Rits, Punto, Wagon -r etc. Any idea what is good in U-VA?

I am surprised as to how people think FIAT's after sales is not upto the mark. In one of polls here , 71% of the people voted for either "Meets expectation" , "Exceeds expectation" or "Excellent and Outstanding", out of 250 votes. This at par with Hyundai under 70% , and 68% for Maruti. I think it is just negative publicity . I think people just overlook defects from other manufacturers and latch on to something from FIAT.

Cruze is getting 700-800 every month, its a very good number competing with Civic and Altis. Looks like civic has taken big hit with cruze numbers

Well the car and the company do not say much about it, (less marketing as more focus is on Beat), but the car has got lots in it.

Big Boot, Decent engine, Excellent Rear Legroom, Overall very spacious, Good Mileage (Did you know it returns 14+ in city and 16+ on the highways (no one brags about it).

Well the time U-Va came in, GM did not command much face in the market and therefore the car did not succeed due to a small engine, however now that most of the hatchbacks coming are 1.2L, U-VA's power is same as all except the 1.2 of maruti. Polo, i20 have the same engine specs (hardly much diff.), with Polo being 3 cyl.

Moreover even with low sales the company has not discontinued the U-VA in BIV stage markets. Getz and Fabia have been discontinued.

2 years with 30k+ reading on the odo, haven't spent anything other than normal servicing on the car. (Now who said GM ownership cost is high). Not a single rattling sound in the car after having driven it on all kind of roads. The car easily does 160+ on open stretches. Yes it does look a bit Jaded in front of the newer hatches, however the cars quality is phenomenal.

I bet itwill beat Punto hands down in terms of Overall Ownership Satisfaction.
Overall quality it will beat the Maruti's, the Hyundai's and the Tata's of India anytime in this segment.

Own it to believe it. One has to come out of the Box of Maruti to get a different feeling. I did and am very happy. My next car too is going to be the U-VA RS as and when it will be launched in India.

It's a car with no specific USPs, but just like the Hyundais it is good to average in all aspects. I saw an Ivory coloured UVA(really rich colour, it costs extra 6k) with the new beige interiors and it looked as upmarket as any other B+ segment hatch, except for the dated exteriors.

Guess the good sales numbers are due to discounts!
The dealer here offered me the base version at just 4.3L OTR

there are quite a few ownership threads in Tbhp. maybe you can go through them.

+ the space. The initial complaint was about the sluggishness and gear box. But I think its improved a lot.

One more reason was poor resale value. Poor resale value is because of low sales. Ya, its like the chicken & egg circle

Probably user have many alternatives around that PRICE with better brands.
