I have been seeing hoardings in the city of an auto expo from 22nd-25th July 2010 since last weekend. Found the same on HICC calender. link: Hyderabad International Convention Centre

- any news around this?

Seen hoardings saying more than 100 cars and bikes to be displayed,
if i am not wrong seen RR(Rolls Royce) in the participants list.

Please can someone throw some light on this event?

Mods please change the header to Hyderabad International Auto Show-2010 to Hyderabad International Auto Show-2010 July 22nd-25th. or if a simalar thread exists, please move this

It is supposed to be a good show, pretty big with all major manufacturers having a stall there. I know because JBL has a booth there too.

P.S> They advertise themselves as India's second biggest automotive exhbition.

It IS a good show. Much better than the South Auto Expo organised a couple of months ago. I was there last year (the SL63 AMG was total drool-maal). And this year it's expected to be even bigger.

After the huge success of the first edition of India’s second largest Auto Show i.e. Hyderabad International Auto Show 2009, Vista Entertainments in association with HICC once again brings to you the second edition of Auto Show in Hyderabad called the “Hyderabad International Auto Show 2010”.
The event will be conducted from 22nd July to 25th July 2010 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad. This will be a ‘B-2-C’ annual event which aims to reach directly to customers and focus on getting direct bookings/sales for the exhibitors.
There would be a display of over 100 models of cars, bikes and vintage cars. Few expected launches includes Rolls Royce’s “Ghost”, Toyota’s “Altis Diesel”, Yamaha Bike, Skoda’s “Yeti”.

The HIAS 2010 will be for four days i.e. from 22nd July to 25th July 2010 and would attract even larger crowds. Out of four days, the first day would be reserved for only special invitees and customers of all exhibitors. This would ensure that the genuine customers come on this day and exhibitors can concentrate on them. On 22nd July the event would be inaugurated by a VVIP followed by a press conference.
The inauguration is tomorrow morning and this time, the layout and organization is much better compared to last time.
Ravendra, myself, absynthguzzler, suren181, prabhu will be there for all four days.

Would catch you guys this weekend. Wish i could be there too for all the four days, but really tied up with office things. Is Prabhu setting up the stall this time too?

Yes. At Stall No. L11 & L12. This is right near the entrance but you can reach the stall only when you exit!

Would like to be there on Sunday. By the way, what are the timings on Sunday?

Today while going to HITEX , i saw a BMW 6 series , but cudnt take pics as it was on the opposite side.

Few pics from the Auto Expo.

The event is open for visitors from 1:00 PM tomorrow (Friday) until 8:00 PM on Sunday.

BTW, Sam, the JBL stall looks cool with the Nano & the Swift! :)

Fiat Classic Club Hyderabad (FCCH) is participating in the event. Contact person is Hillram aka Ram Kiran.

The HIAS took off on schedule with the VVIP arriving to inaugrate it on time. A good omen!

Place is flooded with TBHPians - as visitors or participants. It was great meeting Sam Kapasi in the unique JBL stage which can be chritened the 'soundstage!'. JBL & Polk gave the official DJ station a run for their money clap:.

It was fun to catch up with Sagar and other TBHPians maybe we should have a 'working lunch meet' for all TBHPians there.

VW, Toyota JLR and RR have taken up oodles of space and displayed their range. Shows that these guys are serious about India and Hyderabad. Fiat took a stall specifically for the 90 bhp Punto, this is in addition to their presence in the Tata-Fiat stall. Shows how keen they are to display their commitment to India.

Since yesterday was a half-day dedicated to press and business, the flow was thin. I expect that the crowds will start pouring in from Saturday with Sunday being chaotic.

Time to run.

Cheers,

Wow! good to hear the great begining of this superb show. This indeed could be the 2nd biggest auto show in India as each year it's only growing much bigger.

Been hearing good things of proceedings of yesterday. Will be there on Saturday to enjoy the "beauties" in person;)

P.S: Nazim, aren't you weilding your D60? I entered this thread hoping its flooded with pictures from yesterday

OT: Nice to know the 90BHP Punto is also displayed. I for one never listen to FM but, last couple of days was forced to listen to it. There is a series of ads for Punto being aired. They are simply hilarious. Check it out !

Ahh... cant wait!

Will probably be going tomorrow. I think tickets will be available there.. please correct me if I'm wrong.

I wish we could buy TBHP t-shirts there :-)

I might try to go there today---what are the timings and what is the entry ticket priced at?
