Car lease is offered by my Company. I would not have to make any payment up front. I just need to pay the monthly EMI's and the Vehicle will be in the company name and would be transferred to mine once the lease period is over. I save on some tax and only minimal paper work is required.

Wow! Thats very nice. Does every company allow to do that for its employees?

By the way, you did not answer my question. Did they say anything about the additional ~9k road tax?

You would need to check with your company. Our Company has partnered with Orix & Apnacar.

Regarding the addl 9k. It was not mentioned in the quote that was sent to me by the leasing company which was forwarded to them by Prerana. So I guess the tax is calculated on the Ex Showroom price of 3.89 lacs only

@ h14 - I asked my close friend in CBE to enquire with TAFE, he reverted saying the offer has ended. I assumed GEM was also a FIAT dealer and wanted to enquire but then I asked you...

Pls PM me any references in TAFE and also your # to talk.

Please check the manual available at http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attach...1.3-sdx-1-.pdf It lists out all the features of different variants of the diesel Stile. Colors mentioned are deprecated. They now come with Punto shades.

Welcome to the bandwagon of the last leg of Palio owners. I am sure this car would make us all proud to own one. If you are aware, the colors available are:

- Exotica red
- Infinity Black
- Bosso Nova white
- Medium grey

Rule out the colors which you dont like and then arrive with one you like the most with the rest of the colors

Black and white are too common for all cars. In my opinion medium grey doesnt look very elegant. Exotica red is excellent, I too have booked for the same. May be, even you should consider the same.

Get black one ... Palio really looks cool in black. Or go for red. That is also good color. Black Palio is my personal favorite car

The Engine immobiliser feature is available only on Palio Stile 1.1 SLX. The 1.6 Sports and the 1.3MJD does not come with this feature.

People, the offer is now closed. There has been 750 bookings for 2010 models and hence fiat has closed the offer.

Can anyone please confirm if we can indeed book the car or not?

Total On road price: 4,49,630

@mail.jaiswal: Please call up the dealership and ask them to verify with Fiat-India. Its possible that the dealership has not yet received the information or the sales rep did not know that the offer is closed. Do verify and let us all know.

Did fiat advertise this made-to-order-2010-model palio in any national newspaper?
If not, its really amazing they relied only on word-of-month publicity while coming up with this scheme. Makes it even more curious as to why they are doing this in the first place.
