What about the in gear acceleration? Data please if you have.
Did you feel any turbo lag? How is the low end torque?
Do you consider it to be a worthy performer when compared to VENTO D.

And most importantly......
How are the interior fit and finish? Has it changed?

Considering Linea Emotion pack costing about 7.2
We can expect it to be 8.2.
Anything more will make the Vento D look as a better VFM proposal.

I am really looking forward to this car.
First the Vento diesel and now the T-Jet.
Still waiting for the boss. New Fiesta.

I believe you deserve a huge thanks from the entire Team BHP to be the 1st person to shed some light on the Linea T-Jet road test. Surely wanted it to be a bit more comprehensive but never the less you seemed to cover most important points from the enthusiast's point of view.

Hi Sid,
Well done on your test. I'm sure its pretty much irrelevant for car for the enthusiasts. But considering its pitted against the vento and city, did they give any indication on the km/ltr figures?.

Thanks a lot Sid.
Great review. T-Jet has a lot to offer besides Linea/Punto that are already over flowing with features.

In both Punto and Linea, we have "All four power windows auto down + driver side auto up". Did you mean T-Jet has additional "All four windows auto up" as well?

Any idea about Hill mount/holder function and Automatic rain sensors? I doubt if these would be available at this price and do not expect them either.

Nice info Sidgo7.Now i am really excited about the Linea .Its finally getting a heart it deserves. The earlier engines were not doing any justice to the car.

Now its going to eat the Honda City for sure! Beware City Lovers!
At least the Laura Tsi is safe!

Note from the Team-BHP Support Team: Please avoid quoting an entire large post. It inconveniences our small screen & mobile readers. Thanks

Fat chance of it eating the Honda city, but i want this car to do well. Its a fantastic product and Fiat should get everything right.Like improving the fit and finish,a good and effective marketing campaign use this oppurtunity to improve sales PR and After sales and most importantly price it right!

I wonder if they changed the gear ratios? The first gear is said to be very short in Linea.

Thanks Sidgo7, for the Brief Test Drive Report. Hope the Engine would be a Stonker..!! Any Pictures to share ?

Can you throw some light on the Stuff which was supposed / rumoured to be available on the T-Jet Indian Version, namely:

1. Hill Holder Assist.
2. Automatic Headlamps.
3. Rain Sensing Wipers.
4. Parking System.

Were these features available on the Test Car ?

Thanks sidgo7 for the information. Sounds like an amazing car! Really nice package! This will be totally worth it even if they price this Rs. 1L over the current price of 1.4 EP.

This is a bad news, but I don't agree with the contribution part. For sure, I see a lot more Fiats (Lineas, Punto and even Palios!) in Bangalore than in Mumbai and definitely Pune. I don't see the logic of leaving Bangalore out of this list (well, ideally we would all want an all-India launch from Day 1, but even if they have to choose a few cities, Bangalore should be in there).

How are the first and second gear ratios? Hopefully, not as short as other Fiat cars.
