The 1.6 isn't a FIRE. The FIREs wer 769 8v, 999 8and 16v, 1108 8v, supposedly 1172 8v in India only (but it looks like it is the 1242 declared as 1172), 1242 8 and 16v, 1368cc 8v, 16v 16v turbo and 16v multi air.

No difference in the mirrors or tail lamp clusters. They are the same.

Might be slightly OT. This was always on the cards. They are not completely blind to see how things were at Tata Showrooms!
They must start off with exclusive sales points in major cities only for Fiat cars. Then they should come up with a service station in the outskirts of the city big enough to be like a factory. Customers must drop their cars off at the sales outlets. Shuttle service too if customers want to be there at the service station. A lounge where they can see their car getting serviced. From sales to mechanic, Fiat trained it must be.
For small fixes, a quick service can be added in the sales points later.
This arrangement will provide peace of mind for the customers for sure. And there is always tata showroom nearby if you can't let your car go for a full day

My 2 cents!

GTO, were you able to TD the T-Jet over the last week end as you had mentioned earlier? We are eagerly awaiting for your review. Most of us are especially looking forward the comparo between the T-Jet & Vento TDi. Does the extra toque in Tdi (& lower kerb weight) pulls it faster than the T-Jet?

Hi

What happened and why this abrupt silence on the thread

Has anyone else been able to test drive the T-Jet or better still has anyone taken delivery of the T-Jet during the festive time. Waiting to hear some more first hand comments / impressions beyond what has already been shared so far on the thread.

Being in Hyderabad, we still don't have a chance to see the real thing :(, also does anyone have indications when the T-Jet is likely to come to other cities.

i took a TD right now of T-jet and its an awersome car, 3rd gear car touches 120, in a jiffy! (u have to rev and change gears around just before 3k rpm) its rush of a feeling, grunt of turbo is a just amazing!! City driving is equally pleasurable....
