Come September week 1, and the new upgraded 2010/11 X5 is all about to hit Indian roads. It will have a minor nip and tuck at front and rear plus new paint shades and wheel designs.
Price is expected to be slightly higher than the current models and it will come in two engine options:
- X5 X DRIVE 50i, it will replace the 4.8i. Power will come from the same 4.4 twin turbo V8 petrol with GDI and 8 speed automatic which powers the 750 Li. 407 horses at your disposal.
- X5 X DRIVE 30d will be powered by a straight six 3.0 L diesel with 242 hp and an 8 speed automatic.
Indian market equipment and option packages will be available at the time of launch, meanwhile I just received this brochure (international, printed in Germany).

Base price OK, look at the expensive options list.
The current x5 is probably on hefty stock clearance discount now, any one inquired ?
What's the power output diff between the current 3.0d and this new one?
53 lakhs sounds reasonable for the diesel model. The petrol I believe is 69 lakhs? I cant believe that they charge Rs 200,000 for the third row of seats! Reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson who reads out the options list for some super cars that he tests! This is a SUV though

this is the pre facelift model, check the front bumper and grill.

IMO there wont be any diff in power output levels of the pre & post facelift versions. Both have the same 242ps 540NM torque engine that we see in the f10 530D as well.
