Team-BHP - Honda paying for flood damage delay?

I saw this on CNBC news : Honda India is paying Rs. 500, and Rs. 1000 per day to NHC / Accord customers respectively for every day that flood damaged repairs are delayed.

Have any of you received such payments? Its remarkable of Honda to offer this, but I am extremely surprised seeing how dismal and pathetic their after-sales in Bombay is. I dont think Honda is capable of taking such good care of their existing customers - atleast in Bombay

Yeah. Even I saw that report. It did mention that Honda will be paying that compensation but none of the customers have received any communication yet.

I think Honda is trying to regain the customers confidence after it was badly criticized for the delays and the warranty issues. I can imagine the pain of all those people who have to leave their cars in the garage for 3-4 months.

Does Honda have their own showroom in Mumbai?

Is that the delay from the authorized service centres is also entertained by Honda, if all the spare parts from Honda was delivered in time for them

Yes,it's true.
I had my flood affected NHC CVT repaired at Honda Service Center,and they gave me a Rs8,500 discount for 17 days delay after 10th October.
PLEASE NOTE - THE RS 500/DAY DISCOUNT IS APPLICABLE ONLY AFTER 10TH OCTOBER DELAYS..NOT FROM DAY 1..
For Accord/CR-V ,it's Rs 1000/day discount afer 10th October.
These figures of Rs500/day aren't anything to compensate for the harassment the Honda flooded vehicle owners have gone through..
People right now don't care about the Rs500/day discount..they just want their vehicles back..and the service facility where I repaired my vehicle still has 250+ cars UNTOUCHED for flood related repairs..

Though Honda makes excellent quality cars,the after sales service is TOTALLY PATHETIC..TOTALLY.
I would never buy Honda again.Period.
