The Basic Airbags remain, its only the Curtain ones that they're not providing on the 4x2

Is the 3.0L4X2 really worth for its price?

For the price the above cuts are simply unjustified !!!!
i was quite excited that this would be the same vehicle with just the 4X2 change..but thanks for the crucial bits of information !

An MT is already available for the 4x2, albeit with the 2.5 engine.

After reading Anshuman's post, NO. The 4x2 may be cheaper by a lakh, but you lose equipment worth more than that.

The 4X2 - 3L version just does not seem to be worth the value, it misses a lot of equipment and for a vechile of it's wt and power, it 4X4 would really be good to have.

They could have simultaneously introduced a manual 4X2 and dropped prices further but the deal offered just is not sweat enough.

Endy though it offers a nice equipment list vs the fortuner, will not have great sales due to the difference in brand reliability perceptions, resale, external looks, inflexiable rear seats that don't fold completely out of the way and a really bumpy rear.

They for should have actually worked at the pricing to get the current 3L AT 4X4 at about a 1L less, or speeded up the launch of the 2011 version.

This is too little too late.

Good move by Ford. For the urban yuppie who lives in the concrete jungle with wild animals like autos and cabs , they take out what is not used (4x4) and add what is desperately required (A/T). Hopefully the other gizmos (except sidebags) can be taken-care-of in the after-market.

Post the launch of the facelifted Endeavour last year, I've heard that its only the 3.0L 4x4 AT that is moving and sales of the 2.5L 4x2 MT havent been that strong.

Could it be possible that ford will eventually discontinue the 2.5L 4x2 MT and start giving out the 3.0L 4x2 with an MT later on?
