Really Had Respect For The Maruti for the Older Esteem (Owned a 2002 Esteem Limited Edition)

But If This is the new one , then the respect for the makers goes from 60 % to 6 %

I am still surprised to see that Maruti has managed to keep spy photographers at bay and also, the Auto Mags have not had a chance to put anything in their columns.

Even i was wondering about the same. Suzuki must have planned to sell this sedan in a number of developed & developing markets/countries. Surprisingly, no one in the whole world has got a spy shot yet!! Or a distinct possibility can be that the test mules aren't out on the road yet.

Maybe it's all vaporware. Maybe real production of the car is still somewhere beyond the misty horizon. Going by the lack of spy pics, I'd say not before 1st April 2008, at the very least.

Maybe Maruti -- in a protective flash of good sense -- is even rethinking the whole concept of this ugly prospective machine and its potential impact on their reputation!

Just saw a scroll news on CNBC Awaz that Swift Sedan diesel will be launched in Jan 08.

A worrisome thought.
"Are Marutis going to get more and more grotesque?"

The current Swift and SX4 certainly seem to indicate it. The designers seem to have the artistic skills of a preschooler.

But see the poetry in the mercurial Jaguar XF four-door sedan...

Now that's beauty.

Mods, please lock this thread until we have real spy pics. All that I see is photoshop versions. We are not going anywhere..................

If Maruti is indeed looking at Jan launch, the real car cannot be hidden for long as they have to do promos and actual road tests. So we can see it soon.
