In my book the all positive reviews until the 3rd long term review is a very good sign. Good going kizashi.

Here is the MT url - 2010 Suzuki Kizashi GTS Long Term Update 3 - Motor Trend

12-18 lakhs for a Maruti sounds way to expensive. But hey, people were shocked when Maruti launched their SX4 sedan. That car has now become a top seller. The Kizashi with that huge a price tag has what it takes to be a star too! People's perceptions about Maruti have changed a lot.

Already have an Estilo and with launch of SX4 AT thought of upgrading. But with Kizashi @ 1200K is very tempting and so I am waiting for my move.

However, 1800K wont do justice as Kizashi was supposed to be launched against Cruze (I guess).

Kizhashi in Pune

Saw a Kizashi in Pune on Sunday night near Pune RTO. Followed it till Sancheti Hospital. It did not have a temp number and secondly name "Kizashi" was covered with a white tape but I could spot a "K" . Have a really bad picture to show (well driving and photography do not mix well on crowed streets)

From what Pervez has posted, the Kizashi looks like the SX4's cousin brother or something. What is the big deal really?

It is not going to sell, because Maruti cannot sell anything more than 10L.

Source: SCOOP! Kizashi spotted in India | Autocar India

Consecutive numbers HR 26 BE 1563, 1564 (see picture posted above by Vikrant also). Means many Kizashis are registered for testing.

Good work Maruthi. The car looks huge. If MS could plonk a good diesel, and price it around than the Corolla D, it will sell very well.

Hey, what is with the twin exhausts? Looks cheap to me

Will Maruti Launch a Kizashi CNG in the Metros?

Before any of you even think it, I know I know, the Kizashi is a premium segment car and CNG is considered a utilitarian fuel.

But here's my arguement - the car has a 2.4 liter 4 Cylinder gasoline engine. It does NOT have a diesel in the pipeline. A factory CNG fueled variant ala the SX4 CNG will give Maruti an ace in its hand against the Laura/ Jetta/ Cruze without a major performance sacrifice.

I can see some petrolheads viewing this as blasphemy. But I'm convinced that any major vehicle manufacturer needs to offer more options in todays market than ever before...and a factory fitted CNG kit is a relatively easy option for MUL to offer!

Actually speaking, it 'looked' a little smaller than the SX4.

The car is definitely bigger than an SX4, actually its designed to compete (dont grin) against the Accord or Passat. It is a highly accomplished car with most reviewers saying this is the closest the Japs have got to a 3 series and can trump it in some counts.

But its sales performance has been dismal to say the least. Its numbers have fallen drastically in the States and its yet to be launched in Europe, where without a decent diesel it will not get attention. The primary problem is that its a Suzuki, globally as far as a brand goes its weaker than Hyundai or Kia.

The problems in India will only increase, being petrol engined its closest rival is the Accord, but the Kizashi being a CBU might be priced higher. Recipe for disaster. Very unfair cos its a much better car than either the Accord or Camry.

What it needs is a decent diesel heart and maybe a VW badge!!

Is it only me, or does the Suzuki Kiashi look like a facelifted Maruti Suzuki SX4?

Is the export model different from the Indian variant?

Nope, its the same. Family design language, I think it actually looks good, understated and muscular. Very German.

the kizashi is quite bigger than the SX4, it does share some styling cues to keep the family look but it's meant to compete in a segment that is "higher" than the SX4. I dont feel Maruti will launch Kizashi with a diesel engine initially. However, i see a possibility of Maruti launching it with a VW Sourced diesel engine at a later stage
