First Look comments
Front - appealing
Sides - Bland especially the doors.
Wheel arches - Carry over from Swift visible.
In my opinion Swift SX4 carry over either looks & similarity and parts from same bin is taboo

While this is the case with the GV, i highly suspect thats the case with Kizashi. Infact, reviews have highlighted this fact- and the quality of the cabin.

Once I criticised the Grand Vitara for sharing the parts bin with the rest of the Suzukis and yet wearing a hefty Rs 15 lakh price tag. Well, no problems on that front with the Kizashi.
Maruti Suzuki Kizashi – The review

The interiors hold a similar story in terms of being fresh, top notch in terms of quality and boasting on neat little touches that work well for a car of this segment. The dual tone dashboard is well crafted, neat and boasts of great material, however we would have liked the texture to be a little more refined
Can anyone help me with this name? Kizashi? How is it properly pronounced?

I can try ! Its Ki-ss-sashi. And I was talking to my Japanese counterpart, and they said it more or less means "Sign of things to come" rather than "something great is coming". Infact they asked for the Japanese text so that they can give the accurate meaning, I could not find. When I translated using Google translate, they word was so different from what they gave me.

I was watching the autocar review - it has its own share of negatives regarding the gear shift, low end grunt, quality of plastics. And I guess the 5th passenger will have a tough time as well.

Anyhow there is a marked improvement in the interior - doesn't look like a Maruti at all. !

Re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi 'Spotted' in Gurgaon EDIT: Launch on Feb 2nd 2011

I am actually a little dissapointed that Maruti was not smart enough to bring the Kizashi 'Sport' body kit to the Indian version. The more aggressive front bumper & chrome side moldings would definitely been a better option for the premium positioning that the Kizashi is targeted at. I would have gladly traded the leather seats for the better exterior. It looks smashing in white. The sport also gets a much better steering wheel.

The wierd thing is that nobody mentioned anything about the sunroof. Does the Indain version get a sunroof?

Here are the two side by side:

Well done sir. Those are great pix. The car certainly looks the sportiest in terms of styling. Cmon MSIL shock us with a 16L on road price of the CVT Version.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi 'Spotted' in Gurgaon EDIT: Launch on Feb 2nd 2011

From the pictures it looks like that the sunroof has been given a miss.. also there is no GPS.

The maruti kizashi website mentions these features, but I don't think our version will have these.

Thanks for the pics! Well, I think it's clear that the version we get won't have the sunroof. It would have been nice to have an OEM fitted sunroof though.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi 'Spotted' in Gurgaon EDIT: Launch on Feb 2nd 2011

thats good job on the pictures. Any idea, from where are these cars coming ? Are they coming directly from Japan ?

That means, deliveries would be quite delayed, as all orders will be honored from Japan.
