So today is the D-day ! What time is the launch? Any website for online viewing? The website is still not up I guess! Shows the same content till launch ! Pics / reports !! Wait lemme check the twitter feeds from OD mag / Sireesh. Will keep updating if I get anything!

Funny I have this exam sickness kind of feeling and all for a stupid price announcement. Probably because this is the first car I'm seriously considering buying after 6 years of driving a 1998 Honda City 1.5 sports!

The maximum price I will pay is 16L (ex-showroom Bangalore) which will convert into ~20L OTR. If Maruti can't give me this deal, I'll settle for lesser machines like Skoda Laura TSI.

Now I am skeptical for today's launch...no enthusiasm amongst dealers, no webcast countdown in kizashi website, no idea about launch date etc..

Sources from Maruti indicate launch date as 3rd Feb.

The facebook app here Maruti Suzuki Kizashi - Cars - Founded: 2011 | Facebook has the countdown... as of 10:36 am IST it shows about 1 hour and 23 minutes left... so I guess noon is the launch time!

Very well loaded with front, side and curtain airbags. Electrically adjustable seats. 5 Speakers/2 Tweeters. Leather etc etc

Maruti has a winner on its hands if it gets:

a. Right sales reps/Sales reps trained in handling car buyers in this category
b. the price right

Does any one know if Kizashi has a diesel variant?

No - there is no diesel variant yet. This will be a CBU - so you get the same engine offered overseas I guess.

And do we get the Rockford Fosgate music system as mentioned in some of the posts? If so, omitting that [brand name] from the spec list is an opportunity lost !! Cmon guys - thats a brilliant stuff offered in Mitsubishi premium cars - cash in on that !

I dont think we get the Rockford Fosgate system, since that is a 10 speaker system. What a shame.

Guys the live streaming of the launch function is ON now (although all you can see is people moving around and trying to grab the front row seats). The URL is Kizashi Launch on Facebook
