16.5 L to 17.5 L (auto), ex showroom Delhi...

First impression? Expensive, but not exorbitant.

Expensive? I wish they would have priced it below 15L. All the best MSIL.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi 'Spotted' in Gurgaon EDIT: Launch on Feb 2nd 2011

Good car, high pricing. But i guess these days, everything sells. I think Maruti should do OK with these prices. One thing i personally liked about Kizashi is no variants to chose from and that makes life simpler for all. its a straight forward thing, MT or AT.

is the tax / duty higher on CBU cars?

Awaiting a detailed GTO report on it.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi 'Spotted' in Gurgaon EDIT: Launch on Feb 2nd 2011

The reason for the high pricing could be because it is being sold as a CBU which i think carries more than 100% of import duties. I think they could have priced it competitively if Kizashi was assembled locally.

Maruti's vehicles are considered as Aam Aadmi ka gaadi and this kinda pricing wont do any good to them.

The options (Laura, Cruze, Civic, Jetta, etc) in the price bracket are better than Kizashi IMO and also offer diesel options.

Any reason why the buyer should choose, Kizashi over the other models in the same price bracket ?
Edit: Apart from the fact that the Maruti's have the best Service Network
