Scoop Picture: Identify the car?

While all these fights are going in here there are lots of action happening in the market.

sx4 is to be launched in Diesel version in dec or Jan 2011,this was told to me by SA of a dealership

In the mean while today morning i saw a new car being tested and front and back were camouflaged.it had muscular doors like CRUZE and tail lights like Fiesta/Verna and front part was like esteem though not that low.

I am confused

MODS PLEASE MOVE THIS THREAD APPROPRIATELY IF YOU CAN IDENTIFY THE CAR

Sorry for the pic clarity

Its the new Ford Fiesta - must be testing prior to its launch next year. The high boot is a giveaway.

OT : The new Fiesta and Verna are remarkably similar in poise. Only the corporate faces in front differentiate them

OT:

Joshguy, this car seems to be either from Hyundai or Ford, since its bearing the TN number plates.

Anyways good find.

Since the registration plate bears TN-21 we can safely assume it is a Hyundai. For Ford it is TN-19.

The all-new Verna is likely to be launched by March, 2011 in India. This will be a completely new model in terms of design, with aerodynamic look and several new features. As a result, it is likely to be positioned in ‘C+’ category within the sedan segment to take on the market leader, Honda City among others,

The new verna will looks brilliant, love the agressive front, the high waistline, side strake and the alloys.Looks better than the verna.
I think this will spur the other car manufacturers to bring out some more engaging designs in the sedan segment.Offlate sedans are becoming more boring by the day.

What the tentative engine options?

I happened to have a close look at the RB today sitting in a bus. Sitting high, I managed to have a look at the interior, which was quite impressive.

Two points are to be noted. First - It had SRS in the steering wheel, so one of the biggest drawbacks of current Verna (no Airbags even as an option) is rectified. Of course, they had to since the i20 and i10 Face-lift has raised the bar so much for Hyundai, when it comes to features on offer. Second - Even with camoufalge, the profile and shape of the car was stunning - the coupe-like roofline, the upswept windows, twin tailpipes and aggressive stance were all very nice.

IMO, finally we have a car that can atleast compete, if not win, on looks with the Fiat Linea and Honda City.

@arvi: This is the best effort I have seen for a scoop pic!! Hats off to you!

There is no doubt that ANV will have all the goodies. Hope it's steering is not as light as i20! To know this we need to WAIT!

@ Counsel - Thanks a lot man. The pic would have been much better if I had taken my digicam with me. It was taken with Nokia 5130 only.

Also, another impressive thing was the 3-Dimensional effect in the headlights of the new Verna - looked fantastic to me.
