any idea/pics of the interiors?

The interiors of the 2012 Verna (which has a similar rear design) is not at all exciting. Hope they come up with some cool funky design here.

I just returned from Kodaikanal and had seen this car yesterday in Kodai. I didnt know which car it was, but now I know after seeing this thread. This is the photo I had taken.

It has a double tip exhaust. I liked the trapezoidal one in the pictures more. Sure hope that the one launched has that one.

Its the new RB for sure. the alloy wheel design is a giveaway. The exhaust tips mimic the civic. The pics posted by the raging bull are of the concept version, which had the trapezoidal exhaust and pics posted by me before along with the ACI spy shots are of the production version not having them.

Great scoop mohan, BTW any interior shots did you manage?

Sid, I am sorry but I didnt take any other pictures of the car. I did not look closely into the inside of the car, the steering wheel looked similar to the one in your picture.

Hey guys, what about the diesel engine option? None of them seem to talk about that! Its gonna be the same 1.5 110 PS eninge?

Also can anyone tell me whats RB ?

Off Topic: I initially thought RB = the "Raging Bull" since he posted some spy pics.

Nice spy shots there. Front is a straight take off from the i10. High chances of this being renamed as Elantra for the Indian markets considering it is spacious one and looks classy enough. Steering also picked up from the i20.

I think Hyundai will stay far away from the Elantra name here,that model did not exactly set the sales chart on fire.This is going to be i guess a City,Vento competitor replacing the Verna.

i roughly went throught this thread, now i dont care much for the design between the two, as a previous accent viva crdi owner and prospective future customer, i would expect hyundai to launch this car with a decent configuration, where in the handling, power and braking of the car are balanced.

i just loved the accent for this right combination (even had a very precise steering feel incomparison), verna was such a let down. (the steering feel & handling of the i20 is also like verna's if i am not wrong or atleast not as good as accent crdi's).

hope HYUNDAI is listening, do make the corrections in those departments first and with the ingredients of a good diesel engine with power & decent FE, and it should be a hit.

I hope the interiors are a bit different that the classical ones (as shown in the post below). Good engine options, good interiors with advanced features like ACC, Bluetooth at a 8-9L price will make it a good buy!

This car will be named SOLARIS and will come wit 1.4 and 1.6 Gamma engine options. Fuel economy around 16.8kmpl.

well looking at the new accent pics it seems they are going the maruti and VW way. The front resembles the new gen i10, so add a boot and it makes the new gen Accent :-) Plus i can hardly notice the difference between the new Verna and Accent !!

The verna and accent are actually the same car with two different nameplates depending upon markets. The current Indian verna is sold as the accent in many parts of the world.
