I doubt engine options would disappoint. If this turns out to be a good handler, we'll have a definite ANHC competitor.
Poor Fiat, every time they pick up their game someone comes and kicks them in the gut.

Wow only now I am seeing the new Verna. It does look hot, somehome the body lines remind me of the Global Fiesta.
The gril looks similar to the i10 grinning grill.

Yes the grinning grilles has become hyundai's new design signature.I agree this Verna really looks good,and it would be interesting to see how the old boys,the Verna and Fiesta fight it out in this segment in their new avatars.

can't wait for the new verna 2011. any information on when is it expected.

It looks so masculine and sporty. I already drive the diesel 2007 verna. done 81000 km's and the engine is still a killer.
was planning to buy another verna when Hyundai did the shady crooked eye face job to the verna.
But with the new 2011 verna model and their solid engine and Hyundai service network this is going to be one kick *** sedan.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the interiors of the Accent ( expected Verna for India) are quite similar to the i20.
and somehow I like the exteriors better on the China only verna compared to the accent (verna) coming to India.

Having seen the car in Chennai, I can fairly say it looks like the one taken in US. I remember the front grill and rear styling. Look exactly same as the one in the pic. Looks pretty good IMHO.

Looking at the pics I can see Hyundai has created 4 holes in the bumper. Does that mean Rear Parking sensors standard (atleast in higher versions of the car)?

I have heard from reliable sources that the car will be launched in Mar or Apr 2011. So, if you have been waiting for so long, wait for a few more months for this new Verna.

Going by Hyundai's recent strategy of loading all their models to the gills (i20 & i10 F/L), we can safely assume that the new Verna will set benchmarks for features offered in the premium midsize segment.

My Accent CRDi (82000 kms) did wonderful service for 6 years till I sold it in 2009. i20 CRDi Asta (18500 kms) was my choice as a replacement and I have been very happy this car. Just love the braking at high speeds. The 2011 Verna will be my choice when I replace the i20 next year.

The 2011 Verna looks like a bomb and I hope they launch this fast. C+ segment will see a lot of action.

The interiors with the combination of Black and Beige and brushed aluminium look cool. Integrated Stereo, ACC, Automatic transmission... Hyundai seems to have understood the Indian customer requirement quite well.

Kudos to Hyundai for bringing this car to India.

Looks good. Is this going to be the new Verna, or is Hyundai planning to keep the current Verna and slot this above the current Verna to take on Altis, Cruze, Civic etc?

This car is much smaller compared to Civic/Corolla and will most likely be competing with ANHC/Vento. The new Hyundai Elantra will be the one competing against Civic,Cruze etc.
