Mark 10th of April as sidindica will give you an exclusive sneek peek of a pre production verna. Don't expect any pics though. Would be a bonus if I manage to get some. Launch is NOT happening next week but still date not clear.

Sid, any doubts on this... 6* speed manual for the 1.4 CRDI? Since it is the motor from i20, i think it is logical for Hyundai to give a 6 speed gear box.

Awaiting to read your "sneak peep" on 10th April. Would appreciate if you could give insights about the new 1.6 CRDI as there is no information on this motor. As it is going to be a sneak peep, i am not sure if Sid could give us detailed information on the handling.

Guys can anyone tell the price range and launch date..planning to xchange my verna vgt with the all new verna...i saw the scoop in autocar magazine..loved it....i hope the diesel version comes with the 5 or 6 speed auto box..

On my way to Pondicherry from Bangalore last week I saw this. I hope its the new Verna. Only thing I could make it out was seeing the VTVT badge.

This is definitely the New Verna. Contradicting myself in this very same thread, this catch by Sam has got me wondering
- why are Hyundai still testing in the car?
- Does this mean that the launch is still sometime away?

Hyundai has mentioned that the Indian 2011 Verna will have twin-tip chrome muffler, so its pretty much confirmed that the car you saw was the new Verna coupled with the fact that you saw the VTVT badge.

The new VERNA has been caught testing by bhpians on quite a few occassions! That means hyundai is testing this car on a regular basis.

There might be some serious issues which they are trying to sort out!

The Nissan Micra was tested even a week before launch, and I had posted a pic of the same. The car was not camouflaged though, except for the Nissan Logo and the Micra / variant tags. Not sure what Hyundai is up to with the RB, even my source tells me the launch is close - April end.
