Atleast they could have made it one touch for both up and down directions for drivers windows, But i would love it if all the windows were one touch.

I want to know what other Cedia owners think about this problem.

Other than that nothing else, a solid car overall.
I am not sure if one-touch control upwards is popular. If I remember correctly, all cars that I drove in the US like Ford, Jeep, Chevy, Mustang, camry, etc had one-touch down but not the otherway round.

About the horn, I guess Mitsu/HM has designed the horn with non-Indian market in mind where you rarely get to use the horn. They did not bother to change its placement to suit Indian road conditions.

Talking of the steering wheel, I wish it was a bit smaller to suit a sports car. I find it quite big.

Here are a few areas that call for serious improvements that have come to my notice.....

1. Indica Turbo V2 - DLG

- Ground clearance
- Cabin Noise
- Better Stock tyres.

2. Scorpio - 2.6 CRDe

- 4x4 option
- Upholstery with NO flowers / floral pinks please.
- Slightly heavier steering for long drives

Wish somepne's listening though.!!!

Cheers

And another thing I hate in my Cedia is the passenger sitting next to me always.. I mean ALWAYS yelling at me 'slow.. slow.. slow... slow... slow...' and the passenger is most of the times 'uknohu'..

Bolero
Few flaws
The dashboard looks shoddy.
The gear lever is not really reachable and also it looks bad.
The power is good but in the lower gears it keeps wanting.
Gains speed decently in the highway but dont expect it to have good top speeds!!
Well takes bad roads but the suspension is really sad
Makes the entire vehicle sway and gives a very bad feel for the passengers seated in the middle row.

The Problem Thread!!

Just thought of putting down the problems we feel in our rides. I thought it would be very helpfull to someone who is looking to buy a new car. There are a lot of threads on the pros and cons. I thought a new buyer would love to know what all he would be facing in terms of problems if he buys this car. Lets just discuss the Negatives. Here is my Bit.

Ford Fusion 1.6
- Harsh Ride.
- Quality of parts used could have been better.
- Arrogant Service centers due to monopoly.
- Front Seats are too small to feel comfortable during longdrives.
- Very Short Gears make it necessary to shift gears more frequently.

Fiat Adventure Sport 1.6
-
A.S.S. More precisely Spare Part Availability.
- Rear Leg Space is less and Rear Seat back is too straight.
- Head room while entering the car is compromised by the higher seats.
- Body Roll? Well to a certain extent.
- RATTLES!!! Well its a Sport. Its cost cutting at work!!!
- Noisy Engine when compared to new generation Petrols.

Honest to goodness - Cedia sport

I was wondering for around 7 pages how come no cedia owner has commeted and then saw the post.

things I would like to go away with my Cedia:
1. DOWN Shifting to 1st is a problem often and have to come to neutral and then upshift. Else gets stuck.
2. POWER :( is awsome but needs the initial spring off the signal.
3. Headlights are not the best you know.
4. Cabin noise can be a BIT more filtered.

Rest all is unbeatable compared to cars in the same segment. and ESPECIALLY compared to the price of 9.6 OTR in thane after OCTROI.

Cheers

I also dislike the Dashboard plastic quality and the paint finishing.

Indica Turbo DLG
Hood is invisible. Ends up getting the front bumper scratched
Rattles in rear- Personally have no clue - never sat in the rear
Rear suspension claimed to be bumpy- no idea , same reason as above
AC cuts in and out very sharply. I've almost hit people in bumper to bumper traffic when the AC cut off.
Gearbox. quite imprecise. Engaging reverse is a hit and miss
A*S*S- cant blame the car for it

I suspect it has something to do with the placement of the Airbag rather than the importing of the car.

5. body panels at the rear rattle a little,
6. panel gaps in the exterior is pretty bad.
7. forget boot esp after putting in a sub.

except for this its a gr8 car, keep it above 3500 and she pulls to the red line.. so addictive. handels like a dream and it stopped locking up under braking after tyre change.
Dislikes (I am trying to fix them as possible)

Agree with VANOS. Especially the tyres, they suck - Changed to Alloys and bigger tyres.
The exhaust pipe is a poor GI pipe alike piece with no finish - Changed to a new SS muffler.
No boot space, especially with Sub - Installed sub and not carrying anything else .
Body panel rattling - visit service centre once in a while and ask them to fix it.
Low end torque - I am not complaining coz it is an engine with a different character, as its a high revving engine which has its power band at higher RPMs. Sad such engines are extinct now. - Installed Green Cold Air Intake and it has improved the torque a lil bit. planning headers soon.
Body roll - planning the strut braces.

Likes

Peppy but smooth engine.
RPM hungry engine, which has a higher power band and can redline easily.
Smooth gear shift.
Good control with alloys and wider tyres.
Overall good quality.
Nice and OK interiors.
The most fun to drive sub 5 lac car, beleive

Here's my list for Esteem:
Scraping the bottom at speed breakers
Sloppy power windows; they are a hesitant lot - needs a lot of coaxing and cajoling to make them rise.
Getting in and out is messy. To get in, you have to turn with your back to the car, park your bottom on the seat and then lift your legs and put them in.
Electricals are not so reliable.
On the other hand, peppy engine and marvelous FE make it a great car to own and drive.
Now about Aveo 1.6
Power at low rpm (esp with a/c) is low, thanks to VGIS.
Very few cubby holes to put your li'l thngs like coins, pins
No passenger side light.
Gear shift better in the new version, but one could confuse between 3rd and 5th.
Dashboard reflection could be irritating at certain angles of illumination
Brakes lose their bite after some time.
Headlamps not enough on very dark roads
On the plus side, great interiors, comfortable ride, great a/c, strong body and low maintenance. I am more than happy with my new baby.

Interesting thread!

Here's my list

Santro Xing XS
1. Problem in engaging reverse gear
2. Feels unstable at speeds above 90 km/h
3. Rear seat comfort is awful
(overall reliability and better luxury features than the Swift Vdi make up for these flaws though)

Swift Vdi
1. Stock tyres
2. Rattles (just started after 7k km) in front doors
3. Boot smaller than Santro
4. No rear wash/wipe defogger in spite of buying top end model
(But the rush at 2k rpm really makes one forget the flaws )

2).rattling sound from the horn button.
3) was amazed to hear the price of a wiper blade-1700 bucks.

Things that get me annoyed by my zen are-
1) Rattling sounds from audilbly everywhere.
2) Rear seat comfort is too low.
3) diffult to engage the gear into reverse.
4) 12 inchers. why still, maruti???
5) Turning radious is not all that great for a car like zen.

but i still love it hard.
