Hey man,
Sad to hear that My 10 year old Astra has Auto-Up & Auto-Down for all four windows. Go figure

Auto up is there in Camry since 2005. Even Mazda-3 and MAzda-6 has it, but for drivers window only.
But, the problem is the pinch-stop. These sensors are not so gentle on your fingers so you just cant take risk of auto upping the windows...!!!

Getz GLX 1.3

Dislikes:
  1. Lack of under thigh support for front seats
  2. Very small glove box
  3. Bit underpowered with AC and 4 passengers
  4. Pick up from 3rd gear is little less
  5. Central locking connected to the hatch door. Not safe. A hatch release lever would have helped.
Scorpio 2.6 CRDe Dlx
  1. Inadequate Leg space in the front
  2. Poor ride comfort for rear passengers
  3. Handling on highway is scary

Car I'm driving now (Wagon-R, its not mine its my bro's)

Hate

1. Handles like a boat
2. Rough engine and crazy gear shift.
3. Engine knocks like crazy.
4. Expensive to service

Like

1. A/C
2. In city handling, boot space
3. "Bite" in the brake

My trusty Zen

Hate

1. Sound
(Its Bharat Stage 1 (read Carb), sounds like diesel its got something to do with the hot air from exhaust fed into the air filter, once you close that the sound goes, service guys says to remove that the entire system need to be replaced. I'm saving for a free flow/custom exhaust later this year)

2. Braking even with 165 tyre is poor to put it mildly.
3. A/C (800 a/c running on twice the speed, so I've heard)

Like

1. Handling.
2. Small, cute and lovable.
3. Little or no maintenance.
4. Driving position
5. Gear shift (hot knife through butter indeed.)

Palio 1.6 stile

- lousier grey/beige dashboard (tata plastics, i guess)
+ visibility is better (but i'm a little over 5'11)
+ pedals are close cause they are designed like race cars (?)
- after-market mods very difficult
- rear leg space less

While I am riding my new verna,

+ Pick-up is great. (As I say, "Better then Optra 1.8")
+ Average is more then 17 with Diesal.
+ A.C. is too good.
- A.C. in auto mode.
- Backseating could be made bit more comfortable.
+/- Breaking is too effective.

Overall

Ford Ikon 1.6 ZXI

Threre is very little to say apart from what other Ikon owners have mentioned. So its only repetition.

1. Poor brakes. Rear brakes seems almost non-existence.
2. Poor rear view visibility due to high boot.
3. Inconvenient powered windows switches
4. Expensive spare parts.

Tata Indica V2 LSi 2003 vintage:

1. Gearshift - not hopeless but could definitely be better. And, yes, the first gear is a little too short.
2. Reflections of the dash on the windscreen
3. Gear lever console bellow: the rubber shroud surrounding the gear lever. Pathetic quality. Have changed it twice and now it just hangs loose
4. No tachometer (was introduced throughout the range only in 2004, only the LXi / DLX had a tacho prior to 2004)
5. Silencer issues: Have changed the mid section once and had the whole thing welded twice.
6. No dead pedal
7. Rims get bent quite easily.

Most people have complained about the lack of ergonomics in the Indica especially with respect to the pedals. I have had no problems, surprisingly, even over long drives, sometimes 5 hours at a stretch without a halt.

My car, too, is a 2003 Indica V2 LSi (Petrol)

I face problem nos. 1,4,5 as that of hrag. The silencer is a big headache. Also, the gear lever bellow on my car is same as that of the Indigo (fabric type). It was changed in the last batch of type-I Indica V2s.

other problems:
  • Lack of heater. The LSi doesn't have one.
  • Interior quality could have been better although quite descent for the price.
  • Road noise becomes unbearable on concrete surfaces. But that also gives me an adrenaline rush.
Ergonomics is all about getting used to. Once one gets accustomed to the slightly unconventional steering wheel position, the car is a dream for mile munching.

2004 Accent Viva CRDi - Cons
  • Engine Noisy/Shaky at Idle.
  • Average Gearshift
  • Cramped Interiors - Legroom
  • Vague Steering: No feedback from the steering wheel

OHC vtec 2001 - enough has been said. Would like to add that in cabin lighting is PATHETIC.

Accord v6.
1. Atrocious mileage. nothing more than 4 or 5 kmpl in town.

2. Skinny 205 OE tyres dont do justice to the power available. (225/55/16 recommended)

3. Inherent Japenese "floatiness" at highway speeds. (though fatter tyres may help)

4. Extremely light build

5. Regular maintenance costs acceptable but accident repair is sky high. only reasonable part is the tail lamp which is around 3700 (excluding labour)

6. Heavy understeer due to bulk up front

7. NO MANUAL TRANNY !!

8. Audio quality very average for a 20L car. Speakers of abysmal quality

9. Rear bench rather low and lacks appropriate padding. Ride is acceptable, nothing great.

-Poor interior plastic quality
-Visibility hampered by A-Pillar
-Rear visibility is nil
-Lousy Jk's which loose grip when floored from standstill
-Poor quality horn,wiper,head light
-Vague steering

Chevy Optra non-VGIS
-Notch gearbox
-Boot lid closes with a rattle unlike the doors
-Wiper and HL stalk in the opposite positions
-Excessive road noise from the Good year NCT5
-Poor audio system

Octavia Rs Flaws

The RS has been THE CAR I wanted, now that I have it, I`m very happy apart from some niggles:
  1. Skoda Service is disgusting
  2. Grey grey grey interiors
  3. No cupholders, I`m not American, but coffee in the car has to be done at times!
  4. The fabric portion of the fabric/leather seats are a massive pain to clean
  5. Need a spare? GET READY TO PAY CRAZY PRICES!!
