Upgrades to the Scorpio has been mentioned but without any tentative date.

the only area left now is hatchbacks & mahindra is being wise by leaving it alone! thats is one area where you need a lot of expertise & competition is damn tough.

i have mentioned Autocar India as the source.

A lot of us are actually waiting for the mini-SUV more than anything else!

Even i am interested in the S102 with the 140 bhp monster! because i feel the mini SUV would weigh around 1.2-1.5 tons & with a 140 bhp engine, it would have a superb power to weight ratio.

ACI mentioned that sources from M&M feels 80% of the rendering is accurate whereas the original car has a sharper styling & a more rakish grille with LED daytime running lights only for the US market. :Frustrati




Also, read that the W201 would be getting two engine options-

1) 140 bhp mHawk engine
2) 170 bhp bi-turbo mHawk engine!

yes, i mean twin turbo. even if they bring it here, it would cost more than the standard 140 bhp variant, i doubt how many would actually buy it!

I hope along with power, mahindra has sorted out its ride & handling. what use is 170 bhp on a wobbly chassis?

S101-With that price it's going to cause a revolution.Though disappointed with the FWD drive train, am pleasantly surprised that AWD is an option,earlier was told that AWD was not considered 'cos of cost.
S102-Would be another selle,but can't get my mind around. 140 BHP FROM A 3 POT?(some serious turbocharging i guess)
U202- Is it going to be utilitarian or a lifestyle one? Either, am happy(ofcourse with a new grille)
U203-Most of ya'all hate this, but this mini-xylo is what i LIKE and waiting for,not withstanding the 3 pot(gonna be rackety)

A cousin of mine told me today that he spotted a scorpio with an " on test " badge here in chennai and that the vehicle had a badge which read M2M instead of the usual Mhawk..wonder what that stands for!!

Any news about the Axe, civilian or otherwise? Last heard on teambhp that it proved itself to be a pos during teh comp trails conducted by the Indian Army.

Maybe this is the petrol scorpio!

A friend of mine works in Mahindra's Igatpuri plant. He confirmed that mahindra is coming up with a new petrol scorpio, most probably not for the domestic market. he says the car touched 190 kmph on Igatpuri national highway!

Also, he test drove the W201 & confirmed that the engine is transversely mounted. he says the interiors are very luxurious & spacious but did not reveal the launch date or pricing.

As far as I know , the codenames S101 and S102 are for cars and not suv's ! I think , I came across this news on TV . Maybe SIDINDICA can put some light on it , as I remember he mentioned about it ( I may be wrong ) in some post .

I was on National Highway 3, when i was on my way back from Shirdi to Mumbai, when i caught a glimpse of these two stickered Mahindra vehicles, followed by a Black Xylo thats currently present in the market.
Could this be the New Xylo (The Mini 5-seater or an all-new)?

@ContiMental- Yes these are definitely the Mini Xylos. There is even a xylo following them which confirms this. It has been a long time since they started testing these. The launch should be just around the corner.

One interesting thing is that Many vehicles' names do not end with an 'O' example Rexton, Chairman etc. Would they be rechristened or launched with the same name.

By Trend - Thar and Gateway, models that do no end with an 'O' has not done well in the market. So by this logic, M&M should rename to end with an 'O' :)

GOSH! Are they actually planning to launch those ugly ducklings, namely Actyon, Rodius & Rexton?

Very nice. These cars look very different from conventional cars that I see around here. I like to see something new at times.
