Nothng is new. This is the complete brochure. 4 pages, my camera lens needs some repairing work, so excuse the inconsistent image quality.

This is pretty disappointing. I thought it would be Cervo for sure!

First Zen Estillo with big ZEN lettering and small estillo. Then next one with small zen letters and big ESTILLO. Now this one with only Estillo. What's with the naming game? Nothing new at all?

Guys ! Food for thought !
Lets say this fuss is all about renaming the Zen Estilo to Estilo !
Don't you think maruti has some thing under the sleeve, With the name called "ZEN" ?
Pour in your thoughts ?

Just as I thought. Maybe there is more to just getting the name Zen off Estilo. Maybe a new version of Zen is coming soon. Hopefully it's with the 1.2K series engine

The Estilo was already coming with K-series 1000CC 3-Pot engine that serves in A*, Waggy & Alto as well.

But, I am wondering why would the dummies come alive for an Estilo & not the Kizashi & 2011 Swift.

Dummies ~ Dumbies...

What a terrible waste of time?

What is it to do with the dummies? Something similar to the boxes advert when the Estilo was launched!

I cant believe all this fuss was for the Estillo! I was closely following this thread in anticipation of a surprise new launch from Maruti. What a shame Maruti, get over the flop the Estillo as it will remain one no matter what you do.

I really got upbeat when someone hinted it could be the Jimny. I really feel like banging my head somewhere now. I could have at least saved my time by reading the last page of this thread first. Read every post only to know all this website, contest and gimmicks are for a refresh of an ailing model.

I was expecting a 4x4. Samurai / Jimny Or something with that brand name.

Or at least, a new car.

Now I can confirm that Maruti will insist on keeping something which is DoA (dead on arrival) on life support.

This ain't customer friendliness. This ain't innovation. This ain't marketing.

Greed is the only word I will call it.

Source: Maruti Suzuki assigns social media duties of A-Star and Estilo to Markigence > afaqs! news & features

"Maruti is looking to revive the brand recall value and market positioning of both Suzuki A-star and Estilo

The New Delhi-based integrated marketing communication agency, Markigence Communications, has recently been awarded the complete social media mandate for Maruti Suzuki A-star and Estilo. The agency will look after duties such as social media optimization (SMO) and online reputation management (ORM) for these two brands.
With these activities, Maruti is looking to revive the brand recall value and market positioning of both Suzuki A-star and Estilo in the automobile industry at large, and the car buying populace in particular.

Markigence Communications will undertake the entire ORM for A-star and Estilo, as well as the social media activities, which include community development and engagement activities across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other upcoming social media platforms.
"The nature of the activities for A-star and Estilo is the same, but the approach of these activities is different, as the two brands cater to different consumers," says Harshvardhan Dutta, business head at Markigence.

Maruti Suzuki A-Star, launched in 2008, is a hatchback with the brand theme of 'Stop at Nothing'. It is targeted at urban youth in the age-group of 20-28 years, who are independent and working. The company invited the audience to share their success-stories through a television commercial that is currently on-air. A similar campaign was also done online.
Apart from this, there is also an engagement campaign, where the agency is disbursing information on the theme of 'Stop at Nothing'. "In the Stop@Nothing A-Star Heroes campaign, we are talking about anything and anybody with the never-say-die attitude. It can be about Dandi March, Einstein-ian theories or about any heroes in real life," says Dutta.
Maruti Suzuki Estilo is an A2 category car targeted at young families. The activities for Estilo have yet to begin, but would be designed around the brand's tagline, 'Take a fresh view of life'."

This news is dated: November 01, 2010

Now I got why this teaser site and marketing for Estilo happens all of a sudden. My asumptions were correct - they want to promote A-Star and Estilo.

Ohh. what an agony to take a look at the estillo again. 'Its like Khoda pahad aur nikla chuha' kinda case. I thought atleast suzuki has geared up for plonking Auto Boxes ( with all those testing robots and stuff) on some select models such as Estillo,Ritz. Seriously is that so hard for them to figure it out ??.A ritz with an auto box would definately sell
and there currently seems to be no competition to the hyundai in this segment.

I guess this is a way to free up the ZEN brand for something that justice to the original that created that brand.

The association with this monobox has actually put a dent in the terrific recall of the ZEN name. So finally the Monobox has been named just Estilo. Should have been from the start.

Cervo could be launched as new ZEN given that the ZEN was the Cervo-Mode (4th generation) of its time.
