Looks someone posted a mag cover on tbhp today morning mentioning Safari goes endeavour way or something, if the picture is to go by, the front got a better treatment and the claddings look upper market. I got a glimpse of it and when i logged it, it said invalid thread specified. Someone posted and deleted it too quickly ?

I think the actual car would lave a larger grille and headlights. It does make the front end more sharper and contemporary. I am hoping the body cladding is a lot better on the new version the present one looks bery circa 80s. Oh yes, then there is the interiors, fingers crossed!!!

That's sad, wish i could see the image again.

Tata dealers are refusing to confirm the news of new model and trying to sell the existing ones with discounts and accessories bundled it seems. I m being tortured by a sales rep to go for the GX 4x4 since i casually made an inquiry and the guy is ready to throw up huge discounts, his concern is that i might be at the receiving end after march when the possible excise duty increase might happen

Fishy here - How come the dealer has GX 4X4 in stock ?
1 - 4X4 are always against order with an exception of 1 or 2, most likely, it would be pearl white.
2 - The past 2 months enquiry resulted in 4X4 is available only in VX ! How come there is GX 4X4 ?

This could be a vehicle available for a while and more discounts and free-bee's may be due to that fact, not because of TML strategy of pushing out the current Safari models.

Will be surprised if the Merlin is priced at 14L. Not sure if TATA will be comfortable leaving the sub 10L segment for SUVs where it has enjoyed considerable success. On the flipside, this is good news for the Scorpio!

The first line itself is disgusting!! "India's most selling SUV" -- For God's sake, its the Scorpio which is the best selling and it beats Safari by almost 3 times!! [courtesy the monthly sales report] [ Though I love Safari much more than Scorpio, truth remains truth]

I did read some posts here that the existing Safari top end or so will remain as such in the current price bracket [10L ex showroom] leaving the customer with more choices.
