Hats off MSP!!

Some observation that.

I think its just an individuals car, Tata do sell cars in Italy including the Safari.
TATA Italia

I wouldn't be surprised if Tata sells more cars in Italy than Fiat does in India!:D

Makes us proud to see an indian car in a foreign video shoot in a foreign land.
But i was really disappointed because for a moment i thought the next gen Safari was being tested in the test track!!!

here is one picture with old gen safari in it.

If I'm not mistaken there are lights on top of the vehicle and some markings on the left front door. That would suggest that it is some official vehicle at the circuit.

Exactly. It is some official vehicle for the track. For a moment, I too got excited thinking it is the next gen Safari on test.

Hmm, A SAFARI in italy cant even be put to use as a pilot car at the independence day parade; meaning it is too slow even for that in that country. Wonder what it was used for @ a race track. May be a crash test dummy? To check the effect of a lambo/ferrari crashing into a SUV? That it would pass with flying colors :)

Actually if you watched F1 Monza this year, there was a Safari standing right behind the billboards inside the track. I think it was some kind of emergency vehicle as it had stickers and lights.

Well, to restart this thread, Sirish Chandran, Editor of Overdrive, just tweeted about a Tata Safari being used as a safety car at Fiorano a few moments ago.

This is probably one of the more odd results of the Tata-FIAT collaboration.

Pic as posted by the Overdrive guys. The same Safari out on the Maranello streets. Its probably used as an official circuit car at the Fiorano test track.
