Thanks Mpower for clarifying. It is indeed a sticker.
This picture clearly shows that

Just for reference, this is something which the Volvo has tried with C30 (see pic below)
I think the difference between this and the Brio is that, Brio has full glass with the bottom portion slightly darkened, while in case of Volvo there seem to be a metal surface beneath.

So does anyone see my concern point?
It may be not so much of a serious concern abroad.
but in India with the mm between traffic in the congested city's means that it could turn out to be quite serious.

agree that the zoom distances are slightly different.
But it's advantage Figo for it is closer to the camera and hence the difference is slightly amplified. In reality if measured with a tape as suggested by you from the ground level the difference will be around 8 cms i guess.
This image is an indication of the height of the rear bumper.

I checked this morning on both my Santro & Civic. Unfortunately, the rear glass is toughened and NOT laminated. I wish it was laminated like the front windscreen. Then the problem of shards inside the car if a bus was to back-end it will be gone.

Got your concern. But if this is an issue, it could be a more prominent one outside India. For e.g.; here in Singapore most of the accidents are on the expressways, where cars stack up one behind another, that too on 3 digits speed (same is the case in Brio’s current homeland Thailand). Honda should have addressed this already.

i don't think rear passenger safety is going to be compromised. I mean the glass will most likely be damaged in a 3 digit speed rear end.
But what my main point was the unnecessary damage taking place in bumper to bumper scenarios, where speeds can be as low as 20Kmph.
If a bus bumps into the rear for whatever reason, there could be a lot of damage as the rear glass could shatter, and ofcourse the chances of cuts etc too.

I share the same concern. We see lot of cars with broken tail lamps and dented rear door panel, and just imagine having a full glass.

I think I have put up the simple and not too expensive answer - use Laminated Glass for the rear screen as well. Here on is looking not at damage to the glass, but to the occupants. I hope someone from Honda is reading this and taking note.

what would be the cost difference between the normal glass and sandwiched glass? It may be cheaper to put a metal frame up to the waistline height. I am sure the current large glass itself will be expensive to replace if it breaks.

Another point would be from the insurance point of view.
But with most opting for 0% depreciation cover then it should not be too much of an issue.
Because otherwise replacing glass is 50%
Where as metal parts will be at 15% or maybe higher depending on the age of the vehicle and your policy terms.

Professor is right. Laminated glass will be a better option. I hope Honda will take this into consideration for the Indian model.

Another video of the Brio.
The car looks really promising. The Honda quality is visible in every bit. Unlike its immediate competitor, the car need not be advertised as Q-class. The Brio oozes quality. I am impressed

Honda quality sure is good.
Also in the looks department i feel the brio is ahead of its competition too.
And ofcourse the rev happy engine should be best in class too.

As i could make out from the video - the quality is very good. But the boot is minuscule AStar category, but atleast one gets good rear legroom for the boot tradeoff. As with many in this forum, I am a bit worried about the rear glass hatch. You see - once I got lightly bumped by a truck from rear which left a shallow dent in my hatch , but what would have happened if it was a glass hatch? you can pop a dent in metal, but you have to replace a cracked glass.
