1 Baht = Rs. 1.52 or roughly 6 Lakhs. Honda will do another Jazz with this car.

Yup.. that rear simply takes the cake for being the most hideous on Indian roads. Add to that the normal steel wheels that the car will come with!

Google says, "1 Thai baht = 1.52285688 Indian rupees". That means 6L for this?

Posting pics from ACI and paultan of the side and rear. Its still called the prototype, so expect some more toning down. Its wearing 15" alloys, but no more than 14" wheels will come. I wont comment on the rear until I see the car in person. I want to see the dashboard.

The press release said "Target starting price of 4,00,000 baht." My dreams may have crashed..

IMO, it looks better then A-Star, i10, Ritz and no way Honda will price it near to these.
Looking at the small rear doors I doubt it will have enough space at the rear!
Price is what will make the difference.

More pics from ACI.

The dash looks fantastic but the stereo placement is an ergonomic disaster. Do I have to stretch my hands that far? Its placed too close to the co driver. And the full glass hatch opening is not something good from Safety POV.

It looks like the result of a fusion of the Verna Transform (front), the Fiat 500 (3/4 profile) and the Beat (rear). But who cares? If it gives a good mileage, if it is a Honda, it"ll sell in India, if priced sanely, unlike the Jazz.

I wonder if the hatch is all glass then has Honda compromised on safety? After all, they've said many times that the Jazz is expensive because they have to reinforce the hatch to meet international collision standards.
Im not enthused with the interiors or the exterior. As someone in my office said, it looks like an Alto modded at Lajpat Nagar.

Glass opening for rear - wonder how convenient that would be for breaking in ??
Also, they better have awesome rear bumpers to cushion away tail-ending bikes and rickshaws and god knows what.

Looks like a Honda version of the Astar. I wonder how much space can Honda pack into that small body. Look at the boot opening & the small rear doors. Its smaller than the swift at 3610 mm.

The exterior look seems quite good and the problem seems to be on the inside with the odd styling of the dash.

Maybe the width is so small that the offset (oddly placed) music system is still reachable quite easily by the driver

Lack of leg room for the rear passangers with a compromised boot space seems highly likely.

This sure would make the Etios hatch more desirable if one were in the market for a Honda.

+1 to that.

Even the AC controls are tucked under the dash and a bit deep inside. It seems to eb a bit away from the driver. A driver might have to stretch and bend a little to reach out to those. Do anyone feel the same?

If it is indeed like that, it's another example of bad ergonomics.
