Re: Honda Brio - Small car for India - unveiled!*UPDATE* SCOOP Pics Pg.23

I am also inclined to agree that it is a masking job on the bottom of the hatch. See there is no black border. In a PU glued glass you must have the rebate all round. this one just gets 'chopped' off. Also, the handle looks very uncharacteristic and odd. And yes, the white is slightly different (colder).

Re: Honda Brio - Small car for India - unveiled!*UPDATE* SCOOP Pics Pg.23

Team just checked my inbox and in the junk found a mail from autocarindia.
Promptly took it out of the junk and opened it up.
It seems Honda too is looking at launching a sedan version of the Brio.
Much like many other manufacturers.
the Brio CS is expected around 2013
and yes a diesel version can be expected too.
Take a look.

I thought Brio sedan was always on the cards from the initial stage itself. And I think it may not be a CS, but a fully fledged sedan that might come later.

The CS versions though pure VFM look so out of place. But being a Honda it can be expected to garner decent sales figures.

Live from the Honda Dealer.
It seems Brio is confirmed for launch on 15th September.

And the new jazz has already been dispatched to this partucular dealed. Our sales rep promised a few scoop pics when it arrives. New jazz with revised tail lights. Better dash, possible beige interiors. An AT maybe offered as well. More details when it arrives.
Jazz to be launched within a week.

Considering both the cars come with the same engine, which one should make for a better drive/buy ?
AT is the need of the hour. Hope both cars get one.

Lets just wait for the Team-BHP reviews and we will have an answer. But you are right, if both cars do indeed come with AT, it will be one tough choice to make.

I guess if the car is for wifey then get the Brio or get yourself the Jazz.

Cheers

Well one thing is very clear. If you want sedan rivalling space then it's clearly the jazz.
If its strictly an urban runabout then the Brio will be par for the course.
It will offer sprightly performance and fuel economy to reckon with.

If this is going to be the only car you will have then Jazz and if you have another bigger car but need a small city car/second car, it should be Brio.
I am seriously considering replacing my ANHC with Brio (yes) because it is being used only within the city.

You don't say. But what would the Brio offer you apart from change and better fuel economy. The ANHC is extremely well suited to the urban jungle. It says so in the name itself bro.

For me, this car looks very A-star ish, viewed from the side profile, the C pillar and the A-pillar look very much like the A-star. But yet has the Honda cool looks.

I am afraid if this has the least space among the competitors.

For my use, I dont need a boot . I always wished if City came with the boot chopped. Hatchbacks are really handy when it comes to parking in tighter slots (especially the parallel parking). Another advantage with hatches is the slightly tall boyish stance with better visibility.

The Jazz is the City with boot chopped - and then some! Agreed the engine is different, but quality and utility wise, there is no match for Jazz.
