Normally on Saturdays many retire around 11 am after outing. So till midnight is not a bad idea as more time to spend time in the showroom. Sowmya may be correct - it may launched again before new year.
One doubt - is this the after effect of dropping of Figo sales in the month of Nov

Does anyone know

1. How many more footfalls FORD showrooms attracted during this Dec 4th Midnight Sale

2. How many test drives were provided during the day ?

3. How many of these footfalls got converted into confirmations or bookings ?

from this we can conlcude how successful this campaign has been for FORD and it's Dealers

I, for one, would prefer test-driving at night. Reason : My schedule is tight during the day from Monday - Saturday. And testing a car at night can mean emptier roads & lesser customers in the showroom.

Nope. But in this age of information overload, it's just another way to grab attention.

They won't mind, but then you might not be offered any TDs either

Wow, look at the crowds in the showroom. Sure looks like something seems to have worked in their favor and the promo atleast pulled people to the showrooms. How many bought cars, now that is a different matter!

Clearing vehicles with 2010 mfd year stock. These vehicles will be hard to sell after 20-25 days as the customer will insist for 2011 make.

Good thought; but why should Ford take initiative? Even if they did, Ford could always lure customers by offering the same incentives by year end.

Per my understanding, even if one books the car by Jan, they're bound to get 2010 manufactured car probably until end of Feb 2010.

According to this thread :

The Ford Fiesta offer for Rs 71000 is only applicable on the Diesel EXI model. For ZXI and SXI it is around 43k+Corporate discount of 15k for petrol and 10k for diesel.

Last Sunday i went with a friend to check out Endy. For the 4X2 auto we were offered 70k cash discount if booked right away. But we were there to check out for 4X4 Auto variant and no discount was offered on that. The SP said they have 4X2 in ready stock and 4X4 only 1 white was available and hence no discount.

Coming to the figure, the Cargo Ford, Ahmedbad SP told us they sold 9 Endy's & 20~22 (FIESTA + FIGO) in that 1 day sale.

Advertising Ford??

A weird thought came to my mind.
Aren't we advertising a particular brand of car here? Should we be doing this?

No doubt this is quite an innovative adv, but an ad is an ad is an ad.

Or should we read this as an information? Again, advertisements are information for prospective customers, but done in a fancy way.

I hope I don't get fired for this.

Akshya ford Madurai, covering tirunelveli, thoothukudi and Nagerkoil sold a total of ~80 cars on that one day. That's about 2/3 of an average monthly sale.
