This Guy is certainly Peeved with his very expensive purchase (Mercedes - E Class)

On NH1 going from Jalandhar to Phagwara is the famous Haveli Restaurant/Dhaba and parked in front of their banquet hall is this car, presumably the owner's. He must have been really mishandled by the Mercedes people for him to go to this extreme length to denigrate the brand name. This car with the Flex banner has been a regular sight parked just off the road in full sight and angled so that it and the banner can not be missed by traffic. Reminds one of the apocryphal story of the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, the inventor of the Patiala Peg, who converted all Rolls Royce cars he owned into Garbage Dumpsters upon being slighted by the Rolls Royce Company. And in recent times of the Chinese Gentleman, who very publicly, took a hammer to his Mercedes. It is a measure of his dissatisfaction that the car has been a regular sight for the past couple of months or more.
I wonder no one else has already posted this before now. I looked around and found no mention of it. If I get a chance I'll try to get the Mercedes people's take on this.

God, "BREAK FAILURE"?? Don't they have proper spelling classes anymore?

And, the "BRAND" is surely "SAFE". Only the passengers are not.

Re: This Guy is certainly Peeved with his very expensive purchase.

He should have at least checked the spelling before getting this made
anyways, the issue seriously needs to be looked into.
There are quite a few Mercedes Aftersales in that region.

This is slap on the face of MBIL!

Have read about a dissatisfied BMW owner getting some Donkeys to drag a 7 Series in China. Read the story here - Outraged sedan owner gets asses to drag BMW

For better visibility, he should have placed it on a flatbed! And outside a MB showroom.

I'm looking forward to see how MB reacts after seeing this pic! Period.

When I take into consideration the fact that most of the T-BHPians use 'Break' instead of 'Brake', I don't find it very amusing!!

PS: Yes, I'm running for covers.

Ofcourse the person who has enough money to buy an e-class (even 2nd hand) will not be writing or painting the board himself, isnt it? Leave the break thing alone.

Anyways, its a slap on the face of MBIL.

Re: This Guy is certainly Peeved with his very expensive purchase.

For a proper reaction to come, he should park the Benz in front of a MB showroom and call the TRP hungry media to cover this. And ofcourse get the spell error fixed.

i really wish MBIL does something quick and attend to the owners problem,
Haveli is a good spot chosen by the owner as normally every night it is choc a block with people and that is bound to deter a few potential buyers.

@sutripta
this spot is way better than the MB showroom, trust me this car would be the center of attraction there.

I will make it a point to point out 'Breaks' in the forum (not to mention the wrong lose, loose, chose, choose ...)

The owner should be really aggrieved to go to such lengths. Hope he gets a call from MB shortly to sort out the issue.

The original w211 had issues with electronic SBS brakes. The facelifted version went back to normal brakes

Re: This Guy is certainly Peeved with his very expensive purchase (Mercedes - E Clas

Spot chosen to park the car is very good, the place attracts a lot of visitors.

Some members are suggesting to park the car outside MB showroom, I guess MB would not allow that & it would be hassle for the already troubled consumer to take his car everyday to park outside MB showroom. Basic idea must have been to let maximum people know of the plight & I guess it should working.

Still there's a catch, the nouveau rich in Punjab will blindly buy MB. Ludhiana has the maximum MB's per capita in India. A mix of low education & quick buck takes the consumer direct to MB showrooms, eyes closed!
